Out at the front is a small patio area with seating overlooking the mature gardens and just along the road you can see fantastic hilltop scenery.

The Golden Fleece is a traditional pub offering food and local ales just a 10-minute walk away - ideal for popping in on your way back from an afternoon stroll.

The famous village of Haworth is 2 miles away with its charming cobbled streets, shops and cafes and the Bronte Parsonage Museum where the Bronte sisters wrote their famous novels.

Nearby Keighley also has plenty on offer such as Cliffe Castle, Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and East Riddlesden Hall, a 17th century manor house with gardens. The village of Oakworth is full of charm and nostalgia with its beautiful park and the famous Railway Children station (still lit by gaslight) and get the chance to ride on a traditional steam train which runs from here.

Haworth 2 miles; Skipton 10 miles.

Oakworth is a small Pennine village just two miles from Haworth, overlooking the Worth Valley, made famous by the filming of the classic 1970 film version of E.E. Nesbitt's novel, The Railway Children. Besides its close proximity to Haworth and the moors, Oakworth has an attractive ornamental park, and is within easy reach of the town of Keighley. Nearby Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were much-inspired by the surrounding moorland. Haworth has a myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, and all this against a backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, makes a lovely day out, with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area is full of popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the Museum of Rail. The market town of Skipton, Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate, and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
