  • "Absolutely fabulous!"

What an absolute gem. We loved every single second. The cottage was immaculate and the welcome basket was heartwarming. Stayed for a short break with my husband daughter and dog and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much for having us, Ash Annette and Indie

  • "Lovely, well equipped and comfortable cottage."

The owner goes all out to make your stay very welcome. Food and drink hamper was excellent, and fresh flowers in the living room. Beds were very comfortable with decent bedding and towels. Great location for walks and cycling and exploring this scenic part of the country. Relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the cosy log fire. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we hope to return.

  • "What a fantastic cottage."

One of the best we have stayed in. I reiterate what previous guests have said. The welcome hamper was a fantastic touch. Fluffy luxury towels provided for the hot top - which was excellent. The house was nicely decorated, all furniture and fittings were great. New modern kitchen and bathrooms. A great central location for exploring Yorkshire. A couple of suggestions from us; an outside light above the door to cottage 2 would be really useful as it is pitch black otherwise. Also some fairy lights around the hot tub would be great as again pitch black. Also there wasn’t Wi-Fi which I would expect nowadays. Not a massive issue for me but was a challenge for my 14 year old daughter. Mobile signal was not existent on EE or 3, but was fine with Sky mobile. Just to make others aware that there are dogs chained up opposite the cottage which bark constantly 24/7. So it was difficult to sleep. Nothing to do with the cottage but a pain all the same.

  • "The farm cottage was lovely and had a beautiful large garden for our elderly dog to explore."

The rooms were large, luxurious and tastefully decorated and there was a table and chairs, which i noted from a previous feedback stated there wasn't any, so that was a bonus. The hot tub was an additional luxury. If i had to state an improvement it would be the internet issue we experienced. We paid an add on fee which was kindly explained to us by the owner but £5 only gave us 15 mins, so we chose not to add any more. We all had full contract mobiles but could not get a signal to obtain a hot spot, other than sometimes, at the window in the master bedroom. Although not a big issue would be nice to ensure you have contact with the outside world if needed. That said, i would not allow this to mark down the property as it was exactly what we needed..a break away from busy life. The pub on the main road on the way in is well worth a visit. The food was amazing and has a special offer during the week. The welcome package was greatly appreciated on our arrival. We hit heavy traffic and arrived late. I would suggest you take a torch if you arrive late as it id difgicult to see where you need to be in the dark. If in farm house 2 it is the side entrance. I loved the history of the cottage and the old beams. The master bedroom was huge and the bed was so comfortable. Beautiful place and well worth a visit.

The local environment is not peaceful with howling and barking dogs morning, noon and night. We should have researched it more

2 with our labrador and enjoyed our stay. A lovely welcome box was appreciated. The master bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was fine. Would recommend.

  • "There was no wifi installed although the property was listed as having wifi."

Although the kitchen was well equipped there was no dining table and chairs so nowhere to sit and eat or work. It would have been helpful to provide kindling and matches as well as logs for the log fire. The kitchen light flickered and was unusable. There was no doormat on entry and no coathooks in the hall. If these things are rectified it would be nice place to stay. The bathrooms were lovely. There was a nice welcome hamper, good private parking and a nice outside area. It was near a lovely village.
