  • "We had a lovely time and found everything to our needs."

The welcome hamper was a nice touch and the owner phoned to welcome us. The only thing I could say was the hot tub needed a little privacy due to walkers passing by. Would definitely stay again though

  • "Thanks for a lovely last minute stay!"

Cottage was wonderful and just what we needed. Only issue was that neither of us were brave enough to use the hot tub in the front garden - maybe a gazebo or screen to make it a little more private? We met the host briefly as we were checking out and she was absolutely charming

  • "The property was lovely, next to a pub but walls were thick so minimal disturbance."

When I booked the cottage, WiFi was listed as one of the amenities, however this was not the case. Arrived and attempted to connect to an EE portable WiFi box but was unable. Messaged the owner of the property the next morning to query this and never received a response. Considering the fact that she replied so swiftly on booking, this came as a surprise and was disappointing. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and hot tub was in excellent condition. This property is good base for exploring the local area, however WiFi issue did affect our stay.

  • "Pretty comfortable cottage in a secluded area."

Welcome hamper, well-stocked kitchen appliances, good size fridge/freezer, new modern shower room. Enclosed garden was perfect for our small dog. Unfortunately despite confirmation on our booking email that we would have wifi, this was not the case. A small dining table and chairs would be welcome in the living as the room off the kitchen had an uncomfortable bar table and stools. This room was freezing cold and full of cobwebs. Local facility across the road allowed their dogs to roam outside and bark day and night.

  • "Our cottage was beautiful and we really enjoyed the stay!"

Our dog absolutely loved the garden and played in the water everyday. The hottub was a lovely extra and we enjoyed relaxing! This was our first week off together since the start of the first lockdown so it meant we could relax and spend time together and the cottage definitely met our expectations for that. The little village esholt was lovely too and you could walk to the woolpack pub! The new landlords are fantastic. The only down side of the holiday was the noise coming from the site opposite! The dogs cried and barked all day and all night and we didn't get much sleep all week.

  • "Fabulous stay at Ghyllbeck Farm."

This is one of two houses, both of which are amazing. Helen, the owner, was brilliant. There's plenty to do in the area- we didn't have time to see it all and we'd love to come back- no better place to stay than Ghyllbeck Farm! Would highly recommended and it also now benefits from a hot tub which was installed just before we got there which was a real bonus for us.
