The property

A delightful first floor wing of a former joiner's shop and blacksmiths, on the site of the owners' home, in the heart of Burnsall in Wharfedale.

Situated in one of the prettiest areas in the Yorkshire Dales, this lovely holiday retreat has been fully renovated by the existing owners to a good standard making it perfect for that much talked about break in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Set out over the first floor, the accommodation is accessed from a ground floor hallway with stairs leading to the delightful sitting room.

A room of real character and charm, with a vaulted ceiling, old beams and lovely soft furnishings creating a warm and pleasant feel to the room.

The sitting room leads through to a small kitchen and dining area.

The two pretty bedrooms boast nice views of the hills and both have en-suite facilities making it an ideal holiday home for couples and a family alike.

Enjoy good walking and cycling from the doorstep, or explore Bolton Abbey and the infamous Strid, a notorious stretch of deep water where the River Wharfe is forced into a deep, thundering channel.

Up and down the Dale visit Skipton, Threshfield, Appletreewick and Kettlewell.

The ever popular market town of Grassington, with its cobbled square littered with local shops, pubs and cafes is just five miles away, making this an ideal location, to be enjoyed throughout the year.

About the location

BURNSALL

Grassington 4 miles; Skipton 12 miles.

A delightful village in beautiful Wharfedale, Burnsall is situated on a bend in the River Wharfe and is framed by the dramatic backdrop of Burnsall Fell. The oldest building in the village is thought to be the 12th century church and the lovely village school is one of the oldest in Britain. Perhaps the most famous feature in the village is the bridge - a traditional Dales bridge with five stone arches. The river meanders through the village and with an extensive village green and magnificent walks in the area, this delightful area makes a superb base for exploring the Dales and all it has to offer. The village itself has a pub/hotel, and a tea room, whilst nearby Grassington and Skipton offer a fuller range of amenities. Children shouldn’t miss Burnsall’s river 'beach' - just a few minutes' walk away and a 'must' on a sunny day!
