  • "Beautiful cottage with everything you need in a fantastic location on the edge of the village, 3 minutes from the centre."

Spotlessly clean. Beds extremely comfortable. Log burner a real treat, only enough wood for a couple of days but the property is very warm anyway with silent central heating. Virtually perfect

  • "Lovely cottage."

Great location. Lots of nice touches throughout such as leaving some beer/wine and wood for the fire. Helpful notes everywhere to explain how things worked. Only slight issue was the heating didn't really seem to come on properly. Overall, fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

  • "This is one of the best cottages we have been to in terms of comfort and decorative order - we particularly liked all the tasteful and decorative touches."

We parked in front of the cottage and initially this was a slight concern, but in a village, having a separate parking space comes at a premium, and we understood this. In fact the parking was OK because we had a small car. Also, it would have been useful to have a couple of tea towels provided.

  • "A really pleasant stay in a great comfortable cottage that is really well presented and located well in the village, I also agree previous comments about the finishing touches provided."

One thing - the Sykes directions are wrong, the cottage is not on Cove Lane and this needs to be changed, From Bull Ing Lane carry straight on uphill (HIghcroft/ Townhead) and where the lane turns right at the entrance to the dairy the cottage is just on the left side a few houses along, opposite a small group of garages!

Thanks for the feedback, we have been in touch with Owner relations at Sykes and updated the directions. Glad you had a good stay. Property Owner

  • "The cottage is quite delightful, the detailed branding runs throughout, so many little touches that sets it apart from the rest."

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The location is superb for walking in the local area.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We really appreciate all comments. So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us! Regards Millie, Town Head Cottage. Property Owner

  • "Directions were confusing and incorrect for the final route into the village and on to townhead."

I know the village well and found it after a search others may not. Parking was an issue with some blue Vitara, or something like, always choosing to park in the spot for the cottage. Other than that a super spot to relax and the cottage with all its guidance posters perfect! highly recommended.

Thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate all comments. The detached garage opposite is ours and we are looking to include this in with stays, so hopefully will alleviate issues on parking as it is an issue across Grassington. Regarding the directions did you get these from Sykes or from us the owners, we usually let Sykes organise so if this is the case we will look at altering Glad to hear you had a good stay Regards Simon, Town Head Cottage Property Owner

  • "Great location, easy walk into the village and lots to do in the area."

House quite nice, small & cosy and new nice touches like umbrellas and throws. Only dining seating for 2 people so unfortunately & disappointingly we could not have any meals together as a family even breakfast (limited seating not mentioned in summary). Bathroom needs extractor fan as only ventilation is the window which opens onto neighbours garden so not ideal. Lots of notes & signs everywhere throughout the house with rules!

  • "*New signage for parking would be better as the parking sign on the wall stated disabled and would be better saying parking for 14, Townhead cottage."

We spoke to the neighbours as we didn't want to park there but they said it was ok to park as we were in the cottage. *Noise from the dairy up the road was constant but manageable and lots of traffic on such a picturesque road leading to and from the main street. *Bin lorries should be mentioned in the cottage booklet as we were woken very early with the noise Thursday morning. *A town plan would be useful in the cottage even though there were plenty other books of walks etc as I enjoy running and a nearby route would've been beneficial. Overall the cottage was superb, very clean and absolutely everything you would need from a home to home experience so thank you.

  • "Lovely cottage."

Not easy to find and parking instructions could be clearer...assumed we could park in front of the disabled signs? Also, no fish slice so frying an egg and trying to get it out of the pan was interesting. Central heating wasn’t working when we arrived. The owner got a plumber out quickly and fixed it which was positive
