The spa town of Harrogate is within driving distance and is famous for its open spaces, architecture, lovely gardens and excellent shopping. Wonderful walks can be enjoyed nearby, plus the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks are within driving distance and are well worth a visit. Other attractions in the area include Fountains Abbey, the National Trust owned Studley Royal Water Garden and the historic houses of Norton Conyers and Newby Hall and Gardens.
