Found on the outskirts of the charming village of Thornton, this rustic cottage is perfect for a relaxing retreat with your loved ones.

Step through your own private courtyard, a lovely spot to sit and soak in the scenery with your morning coffee, before entering into the homely open-plan living space, the cosy gas woodburning-effect stove offering a welcome warmth for your arrival.

Snuggle up on the sofa while the Smart TV is sure to provide hours of entertainment, or gather at the table to enjoy a romantic meal- the modest but well-equipped kitchen hosting all the essentials for your stay, the exposed beams and stone adding even more charm to this rural retreat.

Take the winding staircase up to the first floor to be greeted by two lovely bedrooms; a master king-size boasting plenty of storage and with its very own Smart TV so you can watch all your favourite films from the comfort of the covers, and a snug single room, both served by the stylish bathroom where you can prepare for your day with a relaxing soak in the bath.

When you can tear yourselves away from this beautiful base, explore the local area by foot, with a plethora of fantastic walking routes from your doorstep you can explore the many wonders of West Yorkshire with ease, stopping off at the nearby local pubs, The White Horse and The Ring o'Bells for some home-cooked food.

Collect all your essentials from the local farm shop, Robertshaw's Farm Shop, so you can prepare for your day with a hearty breakfast in bed, or make your way into the centre of the village to be met by a choice of eateries; The birthplace of the Brontë Sisters, Thornton offers a variety of cafes, shops and pubs to choose from.

Sitting just outside of the village you can find the impressive Thornton Viaduct, a disused railway, whilst nearby Haworth is just a short drive away and home to the popular Brontë Parsonage Museum and Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

You can easily reach the Great Northern trail and enjoy walking and cycling amongst stunning scenery, a lovely route to travel with your canine companion too.

Venture into the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park for a true adventure, home to the famed Three Peaks, mountain bike trails, horse riding opportunities, watersports, and so much more, there's something here for every type of adventure.

Visit the nearby bustling city of Bradford to find a wider selection of restaurants and pubs, as well as shopping experiences, the Bradford Industrial Museum in a 19th century mill and the National Science and Media Museum, you're sure to find excitement here at any rime of the year.

“The front patio was not fully enclosed, a low wall to the left meant we had to keep my youngest dog on the lead so stopping her from jumping over.”

The description did not say that there was a busy road to the front of the property, very noisy. I could not find a first aid kit nor a hoover, I like to hoover before I leave .

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your stay at Ramblers Cottage, we have now added a first aid kit and are considering adding a vacuum cleaner to the property. The patio at the front of the property is not advertised as being enclosed, I hope you still managed to enjoy the outside space. There is a country road at the front of the property, we have never received any other complaints regarding road noise, but we have now added a note to the listing to make future guests aware of this. Once again thank you for your review. - Sykes owner relations
