    Cosy, clean and comfortable with absolutely everything you need. Views outstanding with lots of walks from the door. Like others we did not use the car all week. We could have easily stayed for longer.

  • "Lovely property where you can really escape from it all and walk straight out onto the Pennine way."

    Enjoyed the sunsets on the hilltop and loads of lovely places to visit and eat out nearby. Comfy beds and well equipped. Ice cube tray would be helpful addition. Couldn’t charge hybrid car at the property as cable was too short to reach designated parking space but free charge points in Hebden bridge and most of the towns we travelled to.

  • "Lovely cottage and very well equipped with everything you could need."

    Organisation and communication was excellent and the information provided in the property was also clear and comprehensive. The cottage is in a beautiful spot with great views of Stoodley Pike and the surrounding countryside. There are lots of walking options right from the door or close by. We were visiting family locally and know the area well and we would definitely recommend Horsehold as a good choice for anyone looking to visit the area and stay in a lovely cosy place. It's worth noting the mentions in the description of steep stairs and a steepish road up to the Horsehold from Hebden in case these might be issues for you. Parking at the property is fine and there's an enclosed garden at the back if you have your dog along.

Nestled on the outskirts of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, is this stone-built, semi-detached cottage.

Walk through to the kitchen where you will discover a set of high-quality fitted units and sleek worktops providing a range of contemporary appliances so you can easily rustle up some delicious meals.

There is a small dining table there so you and your partner to enjoy a hearty breakfast whilst planning the day's events.

Resting on the first floor are two well-presented bedrooms, a king-size and twin, both offering plenty of modern furnishings for storage purposes and matching bedside tables with lamps, ideal for some late night reading.

Being in the rural countryside, you will have easy access to many country paths for some walking and cycling.

The market town of Hebden Bridge provides a selection of pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience, as well as a choice of independent shops and supermarkets for picking up any last-minute essentials.

Just north of Hebden Bridge is the wooded valley of Hardcastle Crags, spanning across 15 miles with plenty of footpaths and a 19th century mill.

Surrounded by many lakes, canals and reservoirs, there is plenty of opportunities for some sailing, particularly at the Warley Moor Reservoir, which is also home to a sailing club.

The attractive, little Pennine town of Hebden Bridge sits within the Calderdale area and provides home to the picturesque Rochdale Canal and a delightful Victorian railway station. Excellent walking country, with the National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way close by, this delightful location is also the first 'Walkers are Welcome' town in the UK, a scheme supported by the Ramblers’ Association. Alternatively, scenic drives and fabulous cycling, as featured on 2nd stage of the 2014 Tour de France, 2015 Tour de Yorkshire and 2018 Tour de Yorkshire, can be enjoyed from your doorstep. Journey to Haworth where the splendid Parsonage Museum commemorates the famous Bronte family who lived there. The area is also a must for steam railway enthusiasts who will enjoy the thriving Worth Valley Railway, whilst the highly acclaimed Eureka Museum is in Halifax, noted for its unique Piece Hall and its Victorian architecture. The stunning architecture of the Dean Clough complex should also be admired and is just seven miles away. Skipton, “Gateway to the Dales” and Holmfirth, recognised from Last of the Summer Wine, are both easy and scenic car rides away.
