The property

Lying in the heart of the historic village of Haworth, well-known for being home to the Brontë sisters, is the lovely Weavers Cottage, part of a Grade II listed building, offering quaint accommodation for four.

Be within walking distance of all the amenities and delights of Haworth, whilst enjoying the traditional style of Weavers Cottage, with beautiful rustic features like exposed beams, an original fireplace and mullioned windows.

After a pleasant afternoon walk return back to your humble dwelling and relax in the homely living room/diner, with a plush sitting area with two sofas, a coal-effect stove set in the inglenook fireplace and a TV with a DVD player, you have all you need for a peaceful evening in.

Across from a wooden dresser adorned with pretty ornamental plates is the wooden dining table, perfect to gather around to enjoy a home-cooked meal beneath the exposed timber beams.

Discover a small yet well-equipped kitchen with a Belfast sink adding a country style, and boasting a dishwasher too meaning you won't have to worry about the dishes!

Travel upstairs to find the pretty bedrooms, with the master bedroom home to a beautiful antique brass double bed echoing the history of the property, while the second bedroom is a twin with two single beds, both served by the lovely bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Make the most of sunny days and use the excellent front garden, with a table and chairs here you can dine alfresco or relax with an evening drink before heading out to one of Haworth's excellent pubs.

The village has a great selection of pubs and bars to choose from, with one named after Emily Brontë's novel Wuthering Heights, a must-visit for any literary fans, along with several tearooms and cafés too.

Infront of the cottage and accessed via a footpath, you will find the charming Keighley & Worth Valley Railway station, or take a stroll around Central Park, a beautifully kept area perfect for picnics.

For a more energetic adventure, head out on a walk to Brontë Waterfall and Brontë Bridge and discover the wonders of the West Yorkshire countryside, described in Emily's novel as ‘rugged and barren’, it offers a stunning landscape all-year-round.

Polish up on your Brontë knowledge by visiting the Brontë Parsonage Museum set in the Brontë family home and showing personal items, handwritten manuscripts and even letters by the sisters too.

Over in the nearby town of Keighley you can expect to find more interesting outings at Keighley Bus Museum, Cliffe Castle and the National Trust's East Riddlesden Hall, whilst the nearby spa town of Ilkley and the bohemian streets of Hebden Bridge are also well-worth a visit, with many art galleries, cafés and restaurants and waterside scenery to entertain.

Visit Halifax for a fun-filled family day out at Eureka, or to visit Shibden Hall, the famous setting of BBC drama 'Gentleman Jack'.

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
