I have been meeting my Best friend once a year and we rent a cottage in Howarth and this cottage was easily the best. Cosy, warm, near to the Main Street, Sue and her Husband left us an amazing Welcome Pack. Put the heating on before we got there and did everything they could to make sure our stay was perfect. We had the pleasure of meeting Sue when she brought some logs round for the Log Burner. Lovely old Cottage with Cosy bedrooms. Everything just seemed to be there. They’ve thought of everything. Clearly Dog lovers they welcomed Vinnie the dog and even left towels in the cupboard for muddy paws. Perfect stay in every way. ☺️☺️

She even contacted us the day before to say that we were free to arrive anytime on the day. The welcome treats were very much appreciated, as were the little things like washing up liquid and hand soaps. The cottage was very clean and tidy and had everything we required. It is in a fantastic location being a 5 minute walk from Haworth Main Street, with its many dog-friendly pubs, eateries and shops.(Be warned a lot of the shops and eateries are closed on Monday & Tuesday, due to it being so busy at the weekend) There are numerous walks and marked footpaths on the doorstep and the likes of Skipton and Ilkley are only 30 minutes away by car. The train station is only a short walk. We literally turned left at the front door and left again 200 yards up the road, and 9 miles later we had done a loop over Penistone Hill, Bronte Falls and Top Withens. A pint of Timothy Taylors never tasted so good! Highly recommend a visit to Cobbler's Cottage and friendly Haworth.

Close to everything and well equipped. Little dog enjoyed the fully enclosed garden. The facilities are good with plenty of utensils. There is smart tv for anyone with a Netflix or Amazon prime account. The owner, Sue, contacted us prior to our stay and also whilst we were there to ensure that there were no issues. Not intrusive at all and we didn’t need anything as it was all catered for. There were some dog treats and a Christmas present for the dog which she really enjoyed. (And a bottle of wine and cake for us humans which was greatly appreciated). Bed was comfy, log burner was great and the cottage was always warm due to the central heating. (You have instructions to change the settings although we had no need to). Loads of great walks, albeit quite muddy at this time of year. All the pubs we went in are dog friendly, as are most of the cafes. Its not all about Main Street as the lower part of the village also has some good places, some of which are new so well worth a visit as Main Street is busy. We always tidy up when we leave and when we arrived home it was nice to receive a message thanking us for treating the cottage as we do our own home, which we do. Was a great stay, snowed Christmas night and had a great walk in the snow on boxing day. Steam train is a good trip too with a bar on the train and reasonably priced. • "Cobblers cottage is so adorable!"

So clean, tidy and tasteful! It’s really well kitted out too with that real homely feel! If you want a cozy and relaxing time this is ideal! It’s also very close to the village and the pubs/restaurants if you want to venture out! I just wish we had stayed longer and would love to think we will be able to go back there again! The owners are really helpful and easily contacted if needed! This cottage really does deserve to be looked after and respected because you can tell it’s the owners pride and joy! x

  • "Wonderful cottage in a wonderful Yorkshire village."

Very cosy and well equipped kitchen. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had by phone or text. Short walk into main part of the village (3 mins). There is a fish and chip shop very close and a lovely hotel/pub very close by apart from the numerous shops, restaurants and cafes in the village. Even though weather did not allow us to use the garden it would be very nice to sit out. Very dog friendly in the cottage and the area as well. Lots of loverly walks and public footpaths from the cottage. Highly recommend a stay.

  • "What a delightful little cottage."

We needed this as a bolthole while visiting family and it couldn't have been more perfect. The facilities were as described but our host made delightful little touches that made us feel welcome and relaxed at a time we're far from it. We were able to be in communication by text throughout but only really spoke at the beginning and end of our stay to arrange arrival and departure. The garden in particular is a very comfortable space to pass the time and a wood fire is a lovely touch for short evening after long days. We'll 100% be back.

The cottage itself was perfect for us as a family with a dog. The owners contacted us beforehand and couldn’t do enough to help us. They even left us a range of welcome gifts on arrival which were very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to explore Howarth and the surrounding area! Thank you!
