  • "The cottage was as described & we did enjoy our stay here."

We were a little disappointed with the parking arrangements & our car spent the whole time parked in another street due to others already being parked in the area identified for parking whilst at the cottage. We requested the bed be unzipped as two singles but this was NOT done. There are insufficient directions for controlling the heating system & despite looking on the internet for guidance we found the NEST controls less than intuitive. There are instructions for other appliances but also we could not find where the consumer unit is located? Fortunately nothing tripped a relay during our stay but if this had happened we would have been forced to contact the Owner or their Caretaker. Having said all of this it is still a good little place for a couple to stay.

  • "Cottage very small but nice and clean, the entrance and car parking were not so good, very muddy, dark and would be very difficult for anybody not able."

The cottage was quite chilly too, and no obvious way of increasing the heating temp.

  • "This is a lovely, neat little cottage, well positioned in Haworth."

It provided us with everything we needed and it was quiet at nighttime. We had no problem getting a parking space by the road in September.

  • "It was a lovely cottage and the fittings were well thought through to fit alot into a small cosy cottage."

Although a cafeteria would of been good!! We do not all drink instant! The cottage is very handy for all Bronte sisters fans!

  • "Good location."

Kitchen a little under equipped and the "fire" was disappointing.

  • "Lovely cottage well maintained, modern decor situated close to the main street for bars, restaurants and shops."

Car parking is advertised as off road parking for 1 car but should clearly state that it is not a guaranteed space. This is a piece of waste area that is used by anyone at anytime. We were lucky got parked but had to leave car and stay local instead of travelling anywhere and lose the space. Ps.A Tea pot & washing up liquid would be nice too.

  • "Cottage was lovely."

Great location. Thought the layout of the cottage was great with everything you needed. Had a bit of a problem with parking the car . We weren't sure if we were allowed to park there. Just needs a note in the cottage to say where to park. Plus they were digging up the road to replace gas pipes. However we loved the cottage warm and cozy. Thank you Lynn and Colin.

  • "Cottage was really nicely renovated and, although very small, was comfortable."

However, one thing that was important to us when booking was having a secure parking space for the car, and your advert stated "off road parking for one car". However, this was not allocated and was available to anyone to use. We were forced to use nearby street parking sometimes as others were using the small space. The listing should be changed to reflect this.

  • "This little cottage is small but "perfectly formed"."

We loved our stay, everything was very clean and new and perfect for a couple. The shower was great and we particularly loved the bedroom, it was so cosy. Great location for walking into Howarth, just a few minutes. Yes parking was shared with the neighbours, but we always managed to park no problem. Was just as lovely as it looked on the pictures on the website. Would certainly return when next in the area.

  • "Beautiful little cottage so cosy and comfortable and very clean - almost brand new."

Would just say that the bathroom is very small but a wonderful shower. Also there isn’t a specific parking space; it’s a small off road piece of land to the side of the neighbours cottage; we only managed to fit our car on (we have a small car) because of how others parked. Had a lovely relaxing weekend - thank you!!

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
