  • "This cottage needs to advise the stairs are very steep and not suitable for persons with mobility issues and the top floor attic has very low beams so great care is required when entering the attic bedroom."

The living/dining/kitchen area is very small for 4 adults. Style over functionality. The location is great for Haworth high street and the preservation railway line

Hi Christopher, Thank you for your comments. No 19 Haworth is an aged character property and as such does have features in keeping with that. I can confirm there is adequate seating on two three seater sofas and that there is also sufficient room for the kitchen area, I'm sorry the layout didn't meet your expectations on this occasion. We do mention on the property description that it is on three floors and that the top floor has low ceilings, so guests can make an informed decision when choosing a property. The bright staircase also has a handrail throughout and I will add a picture of it to the website as soon as I can. Kind regards, Ella and Jannine Property Owner

  • "We chose to stay at No 19 based on the excellent reviews from previous visitors."

We were not disappointed. From the timely, friendly and helpful communication pre and during the visit, to the cleanliness, decor and welcome packages, you can see the love the owners have for their home and business. The location is perfect for a feel of true West Yorkshire with plentiful pubs, cafes, take-aways, shops, park and station all within walking distance. We walked from the property onto the moors and drove a short distance to other walking routes. Parking on the streets was fine once we’d worked out the resident/ free spaces. The old Drill Hall next to No 19 is currently being converted into new residences which means you get a fabulous view over the valley and can see the steam of the trains running along the track. We were surprised at how little disruption there was from the building work, so if you want the great view, book a visit sooner rather than later! All that and I haven’t even mentioned the Brontes!

It is also very convenient for Haworth restaurants, pubs, walks and of the famous Bronte parsonage all within a short walking distance. We would highly recommend this for an absolute must-stay holiday.

I have very high standards and it ticked every box for me. It was immaculate and all the beds were so comfy and the linen and towels of a very high standard. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the bathroom is a delight to be in, it is so big. In actual fact the owners have thought of everything. The house is very close to the centre of Haworth (3-5 mins walk) and we even used the very reliable local bus service to visit Hebden Bridge.

  • "No19 was a quaint well decorated no expense spared cottage."

From comfy beds, luxurious bedding. Spacious walk in shower with double sinks in the downstairs bathroom, to a stand alone deep bath tub in the upstairs bedroom. All extras have been thought of from satchets of tea, coffee and sugar to get you started. Fresh milk in the fridge and a welcome basket with luxury crisps, biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco. The main street has numerous bars cafes and restaurants, with quaint shops. The village is home to the Brontë family with a museum and many walks. Not forgetting the steam train.. all of these amenities are literally 5-10 minutes walks from No19! There are also many trips available by car which we didn't make as we came for a lazy weekend but No19 has a drawer full of leaflets to help you choose. Would definitely recommend this house the only minor set back for us was parking as most streets are narrow and can only park on one side of the road I think this may have been due to it being weekend But this would not stop us booking this property again, it's more of an advisory note as we would definitely go back.

Minutes from the main high street, beautifully decorated, warm, impeccably clean, cozy. The bathroom of our dreams. Simply wonderful. And after a hellish drive on a snowy Friday night it was a dream to walk through the door to Prosecco, snacks and Lindt chocolates. All my favourite things! A wonderful place to stay. Jannine couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating, such as helping us by calling the pub to see if there was room and always being on hand with questions. Thank you all. About the location

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
