  • "Lovely little cottage very close to the picturesque Haworth high street and the steam railway and plenty of great places to eat and drink."

Two small but well-stocked supermarkets also very close. Cottage has everything you need and is nice and warm. Welcome goodies were very nice. We only used the top bedroom which was very comfortable with the lovely freestanding bath. I am well over 6ft and coped with the low ceiling on the stairs. Lovely large bathroom with walk-in shower on first floor. On road parking was not an issue.

The holiday cottage was very central to Main Street and attractions in Haworth. The house itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated for a comfortable stay - we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The property is spotlessly clean and so well equipped - there was everything we needed to make our time there relaxing and enjoyable, we looked forward to returning each evening to settle down for a cosy night in front of the fire. There is literally nothing we would recommend to improve the property it was perfect

The only warning that I would give is about the stairs being very steep and the low joist on the 2nd floor. But these are mentioned when looking up the property. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return. There was also a welcome hamper which was very much appreciated.

Considering the size of the house which was ideal for the three of us, the bathroom is surprisingly roomy with a large shower and two wash basins and a bath in the second bedroom. Ideally situated a couple of minutes or so from the main street, very handy for getting a meal or drink (or both) from some excellent café's and pubs. Not forgetting the fish and chip shop which you could do a quick sprint to (optional) in under a minute.

  • "We had a lovely stay at No19!"

A week before our visit, the property owners sent us a text containing clear instructions for our arrival, which made the check-in process smooth. When we arrived, there was a hamper containing some treats and a bottle of prosecco set out with four glasses waiting for us on the coffee table! The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we could possibly need - from kitchen appliances to board games. No19 is an quaint old house which has been renovated beautifully - with decor that is modern but keeps it's 'quirky' feel. The master bedroom on the top floor is particularly impressive, with a free standing bath which certainly feels luxurious. From the windows you get views of the lovely surrounding countryside. The location is great - just a short walk from Haworth's picturesque main street and close to the Yorkshire Moors.

Hi Christopher, Thank you for your comments. No 19 Haworth is an aged character property and as such does have features in keeping with that. I can confirm there is adequate seating on two three seater sofas and that there is also sufficient room for the kitchen area, I'm sorry the layout didn't meet your expectations on this occasion. We do mention on the property description that it is on three floors and that the top floor has low ceilings, so guests can make an informed decision when choosing a property. The bright staircase also has a handrail throughout and I will add a picture of it to the website as soon as I can. Kind regards, Ella and Jannine Property Owner

The location is perfect for a feel of true West Yorkshire with plentiful pubs, cafes, take-aways, shops, park and station all within walking distance. We walked from the property onto the moors and drove a short distance to other walking routes. Parking on the streets was fine once we’d worked out the resident/ free spaces. The old Drill Hall next to No 19 is currently being converted into new residences which means you get a fabulous view over the valley and can see the steam of the trains running along the track. We were surprised at how little disruption there was from the building work, so if you want the great view, book a visit sooner rather than later! All that and I haven’t even mentioned the Brontes!

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York.
