Property and the actual location very good.Everything catered for just the lounge furniture needs updating.

  • "The cottage was very homely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the smart TV was a great asset."

Thank you to the owner for a welcome basket of biscuits and wine which was very kind. It is very conveniently placed in a cul-de-sac right near the main street, with shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. We enjoyed some lovely walks around Haworth where there is plenty to do and we also drove to Skipton, Malham and Settle which are all within easy reach.

  • "Everything was good for us."

We arrived in the dark after a ten hour journey and had to search for the property. Some help as to the location of the house with regard to the parking spot would have helped. Otherwise, top marks to Sykes' team and the house.

  • "Lovely cosy cottage just 2 mins from Haworth Main Street, complete with own parking space - big bonus!"

Lovely log burner, modern kitchen, with appliances, and outdoor space. Plenty of storage in main bedroom. lovely modern bathroom. Lots of games for a rainy day, and excellent information file in cottage. Lovely welcome pack was a bonus. Needs a teapot though, but that’s my only, very small, complaint. Will definitely come back here

  • "Enjoyed our stay in Bwthyn Penfro."

It was ideally located for Haworth Main Street which is full of eclectic shops, pubs and cafes. There are plenty of well marked footpaths to explore the surrounding area. Skipton and Hebden Bridge were both worth a visit. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • "A wonderful holiday home for a family in the heart of Haworth."

Very clean, and well presented. Things that we would have liked: - There is no teapot in the house (that we could find). There is plenty of teabags, but a proper pot for brewing tea - and a cosy - would have suited us. The coffee provisions and equipment was excellent - we just prefer tea! - Having only one bathroom meant juggling timing. Ideally a holiday home for us would have at least a cloakroom on the ground floor. However, neither of the above observations spoilt our holiday and we would have no hesitation to rent the property again.

many thanks for your kind words, will ensure we get a tea pot and cosy for your next visit Andy Property Owner

  • "Clean well equipped cottage in excellent village location ."

The property was in a quiet cul de sac but only a minutes walk to the main high street with all its facilities. Good selection of shops, cafes and pubs to suit everyone! Lots of beautiful walks from the village and plenty to see and do in the surrounding area . The small back patio was a suntrap and fully enclosed so both private and safe for dogs or small children. Good selection of books, games and DVDs so plenty to keep you entertained if the weather is bad!! Would stay at this cottage again as it had everything we needed and the countryside is truly spectacular.

Many thanks for your kind words, I am glad you enjoyed your stay Andy Property Owner

  • "We had a great stay in this property which is located minutes from the centre of Haworth and has its own parking."

The beds were so comfortable I wished we could take them home! Wifi worked well, and it was great to have Netflix included in TV package. The only slight issue was the positioning of the microwave which was above the oven and difficult to use - we felt it would be better in the kitchen worktop? We would definitely stay here again.

Many thanks for your kind words yes the microwave is not in the best position , Andy Property Owner

Pleasant comfortable cottage with large TV with Netflix and good internet facilities. Seems a bit daft to provide a dishwasher and microwave and have plates not suitable for either. Would stop there again.

many thanks for your kind words. I have checked both the microwave and dishwasher and they fit all the plates in the house !, hope to see you again for a short break to haworth Andy Property Owner

  • "We really loved our stay."

The cottage is just off Haworth’s Main Street which is full of gorgeous cafes, pubs and lovely little shops. We had so many great outings from being based in Haworth, from a day trip to York, the Lake District and lots of walks around the Yorkshire Dales. We adored our Brontë walk up to Top Withins on the Haworth Moor. The cottage is spacious, comfy and welcoming. Loved the little touches like the complimentary local gin and tonics! It was beautifully clean. The most well equipped place I’ve ever stayed! We weren’t missing any kitchen equipment, and they even had salt, pepper, oil etc. Really comfy sofa and bed. The patio was handy but it did rain everyday we were there so didn’t get too much use!!! We took our dogs (Dachshunds) and they adored it - it was just perfect for them! Highly recommend to all - a great location to stay and explore around, and really lovely accommodation!

About the location

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
