  • "Beautifully decorated home and extremely well equipped."

Fabulous welcome basket! View from the conservatory/lounge is stunning. Spotlessly clean throughout and warm. Every bedroom had its own bathroom and all were comfortable and most attractive. We received a message to say the house was ready for us a good hour earlier than expected and Rachel was very helpful regarding a left behind bag. Beautiful village and surrounding countryside. Highly recommend.

  • "Lovely house, one of the best we've stayed in over many years."

Decor was to hotel standard and the house was very clean throughout. Bedrooms were spacious and all ensuite. Kitchen was very well stocked. The downstairs suite was entirely self contained and - bar a couple of minor things I've highlighted to the owner - really lovely and peaceful. A great base for Ilkley, Leeds, Bolton abbey, Skipton, Saltaire and Hebden Bridge. We thoroughly recommend

Thyme House is just as described but what is difficult to put into words is the view from the conservatory / lounge - amazing. Clean, well equipped and full of charm we would book again. Plenty to do in the surrounding area including the Heritage Railway (a must) and if you don't want to venture far the pubs and tearooms in Haworth are fab!

The owners have supplied everything you need to make you feel at home. The house was very comfortable, warm and cosy with fantastic views from the garden room/lounge. We were a group of 7 ladies so having beautiful onsuite bathrooms in every bedroom was amazing. Perfect location within a few minute's walk from Howarth High Street, shops, eateries and local walks. Owners were on hand to answer any questions and were lovely and friendly. A yummy welcome hamper was waiting for us when we arrived. Would definitely go back when we have the opportunity.

The house itself is spotlessly clean and well furnished with all the facilities you may need for a break away from home. It is also only a few minutes walk to the main street in Haworth. Any questions we had regarding the property were answered immediately by the owners who made us feel very welcome. The welcome basket with tea, coffee, butter, milk and other goodies was much appreciated. I would highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone planning a break in Haworth. Thank you so much to the owners and best wishes for the future.

  • "Thyme house was a wonderful place to stay."

The property was roomy and very clean, with all the facilities we could wish for, including kitchens well-stocked with all the utensils needed to cater for our large family group. The sitting room had enough seats for everyone to enjoy the spectacular views across the valley, and the animal-themed bedrooms were a big hit. The location within walking distance of the Bronte Parsonage and Haworth Main Street could not have been better. We particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful communications with Rachel, and the very generous welcoming package of goodies, plus other items Rachel thought would make our stay better. A Five Star property that we highly recommend and plan to visit again.

Large and comfortable bedrooms, crisp and clean bedding, comfy beds, pillows and duvets, all spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped. Lovely large dining table which easily accommodated 8 adults. The elevated lounge had comfortable chairs/settees, snuggly throws, and views were amazing. An easy walk into Howarth, lots of great shops, pubs, cafes, and so much to do and see. We visited The Parsonage and went on the steam train. Had a walk across the hills locally too. • "We loved our stay in The Thyme house."

The situation was perfect with just a short walk into the beautiful village of Haworth and lovely surrounding area. We found plenty of walks and places to visit and enjoyed returning to our cosy holiday home. The house is spacious and the bedrooms suited our families especially with the luxury of 5 en-suites. Plenty of crockery and cutlery for 9 and large ovenware for meals. Eating out in Haworth was easy as I have never seen so many pubs/inns in such a short distance! Just one small thing! It was very difficult explaining to our grandchildren that they were not allowed on the trampoline and lovely garden equipment that were so visible from the windows. However they did enjoy watching the sheep every day.

Sadly the play equipment is in next door's garden! We would love to be able to provide more outdoor activities for children but we don't have the space. We do make it clear on the booking form that house isn't suitable for children under 12 years. Property Owner

I would add 2 very minor comments: - The conservatory/lounge does get very warm on sunny days. We would have liked to open the door for fresh air but there was nothing to secure the door with to stop it blowing open and out of our reach. - Now that the conservatory is now the lounge, it would benefit from a wifi extender.

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
