• "Excellent accommodation."

  Very convenient location. Within walking distance of Hebden Bridge, which has many restaurants, coffee shops and an excellent market. If you are into walking or hiking, there are several walks from the doorstep. The host Natalie is very helpful, but doesn't interfere. She is there if required.

• "The house is very comfortable, clean and well equipped."

  It's situated in a very quiet area, a short walk from the town. It's a hiker's paradise ideally situated for walks, which you can start straight from the door. Natalie is the most thoughtful and considerate of owners. This was our 2nd visit this year and we may well be back for a 3rd next year.

• "Location is superb."

  Turn left and you are five minutes from Hebden Bridge Centre. Lots of places to eat, interesting shops and good train and bus connections. Turn right and you have riverside woodland walks. The property feels homely, is spotless and well equipped. You couldn’t ask for better communications with the property owner from start to finish. Highly recommended, we hope to return in future.

• "We had an absolutely amazing stay at Lynton House."

  It was very clean and the best equipped holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in. I especially appreciated having proper knives and pans, and there was everything from laundry detergent and kitchen foil to enough hand soap to last us the week, not to mention the generous and delicious welcome package. The location was quiet and peaceful, and a short and easy stroll from the town center. And last but not least, our host Natalie was absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. If we ever go back to Hebden Bridge, we know where to book!

• "This is a truly lovely home from home."

  Natalie has thought of everything! We stayed for 4 days but wished we could have stayed longer. The welcome treats were very much appreciated and a lovely touch. The location is perfect for popping into town or exploring further afield. Already looking forward to the next visit.

• "We had a lovely week at Lynton House."

  The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped, even down to scissors for left handed guests. Hebden Bridge is a walker's paradise. There are so many walks (some very energetic) from the door that we didn't use the car during our stay. Natalie is a helpful and considerate hostess and left us a very generous welcome pack which we made full use of. We enjoyed our stay so much we are coming again in October. Enough said.

• "Excellent property."

  Cleanliness was one of the properties the best we’ve been to. The owner left us an enormous welcome pack which certainly came in useful especially after a long drive. The property was lovely and cosy and very convenient to the local amenities. We would highly recommend the cottage and will certainly come again. Well done Natalie, you are a most pleasant person and nothing was too much trouble during our stay.

• "We had a fantastic stay."

  The cottage is very comfortable and immaculately clean, with everything as described. A lot of care has gone into ensuring there is everything you might need. It's in a very peaceful and quiet setting with no noise whatsoever, even though we were such a short easy walk to the centre and shops. Everything worked well including free WIFI, and it was cosy and warm. One of the nicest and cleanest cottages we've ever stayed in. Convenient for lots of walking and tourist attractions. We left our car in the driveway to visit the Piece Hall, Minster and market in Halifax via the local trains which run every 20 minutes from the quaint Hebden Bridge Train Station (about 10 mins walk from the cottage). We also recommend Shibden Hall and Haworth. Natalie was so friendly and helpful via text, and she provided a lovely welcome pack, which was a godsend as we were tired from our journey. Thank you for a lovely holiday, we hope to visit again one day.

• "We had a fantastic time in Hebden Bridge and a large part of that was down to our stay at Lynton House."

  The house was well appointed, comfortable and (given the sometimes inclement weather) warm and with the inestimable benefit of parking on the drive yet being only 5 minutes walk from the cetnre of the town. The town itself is at the centre of many footpaths to explore the lovely Calderdale countryside (Heptonstall, Stoodley Pike and via the canal to the woodland above Mytholmrod) but aslo has a range of independent shops, cafés and restaurants with a market 4 days a week. we aslo went on a day rain was forecast, to Halifax by train and would recommend a visit -,especially the Piece Hall and the Minster. All in all, despite the rain, a great holiday property and location.

• "Totally agree with previous excellent reviews."

  The property was exactly as described, and had everything you might need for a holiday. The property is a terraced house, but I heard absolutely nothing from the neighbours, and the street was very peaceful. Awaiting my arrival was an amazing welcome pack, which was much appreciated. I spoke to Natalie before I travelled to the property, and she was extremely helpful and answered ever query I had. Overall delighted with my stay and would look to return next time I'm in the area.

• "Nice house, short walk to town centre, just enough room for 2 cars, one behind the other, on drive."

  The weather was very cold, but the house was nice and warm. No complaints about wifi. Beds were very comfortable. Good price. Would definately stay again.

  Ideally located with only a 7 minute walk to town centre and only 2 minutes to a riverside walk leading directly to country walks around Hardcastle Crag and Gibson Mill. Warm, cosy, plenty of parking and clear instructions for everything. The owners have clearly thought through in detail what guests might need. Would certainly return - unequivocally recommended.

• "The property was a lovely little cottage."

  Very well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Well located in the village. The host, Natalie, was a pleasure to deal with. She answered all of my questions, providing extra information above and beyond required. Natalie filled the kitchen with plenty of staples and treats to get us start when we arrived at the property. She very kindly allowed us to stay a little later so we could fit in one more hike in the Dales. Highly recommend a stay at Avaelie Too.

• "We were very disappointed with the cottage."

  Cheap furnishings in lounge. Would benefit from carpet. Disappointed with tv, could not get Netflix as stated. Worse thing of all is that all internal doors don’t fit properly. The bathroom door doesn’t close at all. Couldn’t fault the kitchen. Neighbour lovely.

  Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Firstly, I am glad that you liked the kitchen, which is indeed very well equipped. I would like to reassure you and future guests that the sofas, furnishings are brand new and expensive. There are several brand new facilities available at the property, too, so we are unclear as to the reason for the low rating of facilities. With regards to the carpet, it is clearly shown in the photos that there is carpet upstairs and laminate flooring downstairs with a brand new wool rug. My account shows that Netflix was in working order for your stay, however if you had let me know of any issues with this, I would have done my best to assist you. The internal doors are also all brand new and were fitted by a local professional joiner, whas been informed of your comments and, on inspection of the property, all doors close fully, with the exception of the kitchen to living room door. This has expanded slightly since fitting due to the wet summer weather and he is returning to rectify this as soon as the property is vacant. I always welcome suggestions to improve the property and leave a book for this purpose. If I had been contacted at any point during your stay, I would have loved to have had the opportunity to put things right for you at the time. Property Owner
