The property

Discover this quaint, stone-built terraced cottage amidst the beautiful setting of Luddenden, a conservation village in West Yorkshire.

This characterful bolthole offers a welcoming base for couples, families or friends to call home as they explore this part of Yorkshire, littered with breath-taking scenery and a plethora of things to do.

Admire the surroundings of the village before entering into the open-plan living room, where the exposed beams frame everything you could possibly need for a week-long stay, as well as an electric fire for extra warmth during the winter months.

Head to the rear of the space to find a compact, yet well-appointed kitchen, where a range of quality appliances are certain to encourage you to whip up a home-cooked dish or prepare a picnic for the next day’s adventure.

Settle down for your meals at the dining table before you pull open the map and plan the next route or while away fun-filled hours playing board games brought from home.

Afterwards, flick on the fire and snuggle up on the sofa with a good book in hand or take a browse through the channels on the TV.

When sleep calls, make your way upstairs, where you will find two well-presented double bedrooms, which are served by a shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC.

After a long walk upon the open moorland of Yorkshire, reward yourself with a well-deserved pint at The Lord Nelson Inn, where during summer afternoons you are welcomed to rest in the beer garden and soak up the sunshine; or head to the local shop to pick up some treats and essentials to take back to the cottage.

Whilst here, be sure to visit the nearby attractive town of Hebden Bridge, where you will find a larger selection of places to eat and drink, as well as the Calder Holmes Park, the picturesque Rochdale Canal and the pretty Victorian railway station.

Venture in the other direction to the town of Halifax, where you will find Eureka!

The National Children's Museum, the 600-year-old medieval manor of Shibden Hall and the recently renovated Piece Hall, which is considered to be one of the most remarkable and historic buildings in England.

Travel slightly further afield to Haworth, where you can visit Parsonage Museum commemorating the famous Bronte sisters or explore the moorland, which makes a great spot for walkers to discover the Bronte Waterfall and the National Trust owned Hardcastle Crags, a 19th-century mill with a plethora of wooded Pennine valley trails.

Bring your loved ones to Cobbler's Cottage to a share a memorable break in Yorkshire.

About the location

LUDDENDEN

Hebden Bridge 4 miles; Halifax 6 miles.

Luddenden is a conservation village in Calderdale, close to Hebden Bridge. The community is first mentioned in 1284, and in 1375 a corn mill was moved from Warley Town to exploit the Luddenden Brook. Nearby, the attractive town of Hebden Bridge is the home to the picturesque Rochdale Canal and a delightful Victorian railway station. The town of Mytholmroyd is an easy drive away, the birthplace of Poet Laureate Ted Hughes, and famous for the Cragg Vale Coiners. This is excellent walking country, with the National Trust Hardcastle Crags and the Pennine Way, plus the area hosted the Tour De France in 2014. Enjoy scenic drives and cycling across the moors, whilst nearby Haworth boasts the Parsonage Museum commemorating the famous Bronte family who lived there. The area is also a must for steam railway enthusiasts who will enjoy the thriving Worth Valley Railway, whilst the highly-acclaimed Eureka Museum in Halifax is noted for its unique Piece Hall and its Victorian architecture.
