The property

A cosy ground floor apartment, in a terraced row, next door to a fish and chip shop, in the market square of the popular town of Masham.

The apartment is in the perfect location to take in the atmosphere of this quaint town and visit the surrounding scenery of the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

Renovated to a good standard throughout, the apartment is ideal for couples, with a comfortable open plan sitting room leading into the king-size bedroom.

From here you access the well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom.

To the rear there is a small patio with a table and chairs, perfect for catching some rays and enjoying a well-earned drink.

The apartment opens out onto the historic market square, where you will find a wide selection of specialist food stores, two excellent butchers, grocers, delicatessens, restaurants and pubs, all offering locally produced food and drink.

The market comes twice a week, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors to take in and shop for local produce and souvenirs.

Masham is also famous for the Black Sheep Brewery and its nearby sister brewery, Theakstons, so taking a tour is a must for real ale enthusiasts.

The area is also a walker's dream with excellent walks from the doorstep, down to the river, as well as the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks being just a short drive away.

For a day out why not visit the market towns of Richmond, Leyburn and Hawes, as well as the charming town of Harrogate and the historic city of York, all of which are within driving distance?

This charming apartment provides the perfect base for couples looking for a relaxing break in this wonderful area.

About the location

Ripon 9 miles; Bedale 6 miles; Northallerton 14 miles.

The historic little market town of Masham is situated in the lower reaches of pretty Wensleydale alongside the River Ure. Set in gently rolling farmland, the town boasts a huge market square, where a Wednesday market has been joined by a popular Saturday market. There are lots of walks around the area, including a 10-mile walk along the Ure, arguably one of the best in the UK. The town boasts a good range of crafts, galleries, shops, restaurants and pubs and has become best known perhaps as the home of two breweries Theakstons of Old Peculiar fame and the Black Sheep Brewery, which now brews 11 million pints of beer a year! The popular towns of Ripon, Thirsk, Northallerton, Richmond and Harrogate are an easy drive away. With so much to see and do in the area, this is a great place for a holiday in all seasons.
