  • “The cottage was amazingly clean & everything provided & beyond!”

Lots of goodies were left for a VERY welcome arrival. A great location, a short walk to shops & restaurants & Hebden Bridge, a beautiful town & further afield lots to see & do. The road is VERY NOISY & with searing temperatures the small windows that did open (which was limited) didn't help with any air flow, but then we had to contend with the traffic noise, so it was difficult to sleep! Limited car parking space which left the immediate residents irritated, better that guests park across the road in the car park. NO REAR DOOR & NO GARDEN which means having a dog is difficult. A space is available for an outside area, shame it's not been used for that. Therefore a stable door would be a better option for fresh air & preventing the dog going out onto a main road, so the door had to be shut. Overall a great stay but needed a few tweaks to be perfect.

About the property

Hebden Bridge 1 mile.

This lovely, end-terrace holiday cottage is situated in the village of Mytholmroyd, on the outskirts of Hebden Bridge.

Set back slightly from the main road on a small estate of terraced houses, Hawksclough Cottage is a wonderful destination for couples and small families exploring West Yorkshire.

The front door opens directly into a pretty, open plan living space with a kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area with exposed wooden beams.

In the sitting area is a comfy three-seater sofa, a woodburner and a window seat stretching across the width of the front window.

Upstairs are two fresh, bright bedrooms where you can enjoy a good night’s sleep; one has a single bed and the second has a double bed and a double wardrobe.

In the modern bathroom, you can kick-start your morning with a refreshing rainfall shower or end a busy day with a relaxing bubble bath!

Stretch your legs along the Rochdale Canal towpath.

The village of Mytholmroyd has two lovely pubs, a cafe and a bistro, whilst a mile away is the popular holiday destination of Hebden Bridge.

It has a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as fabulous nightlife and an old cinema where you can treat yourself to tea and scones during the interval.

There is also a mountain bike centre in Hebden Bridge, as well as an abundance of walks in the surrounding area.

Nearby is Haworth, the home of the Bronte Sisters, Heptonstall and Skipton, that all make wonderful day out.

A truly fantastic holiday home, all year round!
