  • "Hi had a great quality tim at the snug ."

Highly recommend The Snug . Owners ae very friendly . We only saw them by chance as we arrived earlier than expected but could not be more helpful otherwise you are given key code for door key ,There is no need to see them but they are at end of a phone call if you have any problems. Which we never had . Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did

  • "We had a lovely week spent at The Snug."

The property is well situated to explore Haworth, the Bronte Parsonage and the surrounding area. Tucked up a little lane – it was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. Parking was available in the lay-by nearby. After a day sightseeing, we enjoyed returning to this well-equipped, comfortable cottage. The area has so much to offer, we will certainly be returning again.

  • "Just returned from a week's stay at The Snug, the cottage is in the perfect location for exploring the area, it has everything you need for your stay and was surprisingly quiet with it been situated near the road."

Only a short walk to the shops and also plenty of eateries to chose from. Lots of pubs too. Highly recommended the Old white Lion Hotel, staff are so friendly and food is excellent portion sizes are very generous and very reasonable priced. A 5 to 10 min walk and you are in the dales with views that are stunning. There are so many nice walks to suit everyone's ability. Haworth and surrounding area has so much to offer, we will definitely be back and will book the cottage again 10 / 10 Eliz, Tom and Murphy

  • "I very much enjoyed staying in this lovely, cosy cottage and had a very pleasant Christmas there, meeting up with family members and wandering around the area."

The owners were quick to respond to a question I had. It was easy to get the hot water back on in the shower, with the clear instructions, when it went off a couple of times and Laurence told me it was being fixed in January. Apart from that, everything ran very smoothly. Lovely to have a Christmas tree as well. There are plenty of views, walks and pub/cafe meals to be enjoyed in the area. I can certainly recommend the Snug and hope very much to stay there again.

  • "Very cosy with open-fire, tastefully decorated."

Hidden on a tiny small foot path - although its just next to a bus route, very quiet and hardly anyone passed in front of the building. Very conveniently located, just a min away from the town center, various walk routes, pubs and shops. Kitchen is very well equipped, plus salt/papers, tea, oils, etc and a bottle of milk in fridge. Ground floor could be bit dark during day but plenty of light on the maisonette, where I set-up my office. Laurence was always very quick in responding to my questions. As others mentioned, apart from weak water pressure (the shower itself works fine), everything was perfect. I def return in another season to enjoy Haworth.

  • "It was the second time in this wonderful cottage, I love it very much, the interior is very cozy and personal."

The only disadvantages I can think of, is that the shower was very weak, but I believe it's going to be fixed soon and as I was staying here for 3 weeks, I missed a washingmachine. Other than that it's just a sweet and lovely cottage and definitely recommend it.

Cosy and stylish and a stone’s throw from The cobbled Main Street. A bracing walk to Top Withens and back followed by a glass of wine in front of the log burner - heaven!

  • "The cottage was small and Mainly comfortable but we had some issues while we were there."

We were aware that previous guests had commented on the lack of power in the shower but the area of water coming out was no greater than 5cms. Worse shower we have seen. The toilet seat was also broken. We had issues with the cleanliness. The oven was very dirty and greasy, the freezer compartment in the fridge was so iced up that there wasn’t room for food and we had to wash out the dishwasher before we could use it as there was food In the bottom left by the previous guests. We had brilliant weather while we were there but this then highlighted the very dirty windows. There is a tv but we couldn’t watch it as BBC 1&2 were unavailable and the other channels kept pixelating. We did leave feedback in the cottage about these issues.

It’s a lovely place to stay. The only problem we had was that the shower was a bit weak but everything was brilliant and would definitely stay again

  • "Very cosy cottage and very well equipped."

We had a lovely week, great position in the town and close to lots of pubs and tea rooms. Comfortable bed and really snuggly duvet! We struggled going up and down the stairs since they are rather narrow and we are rather tall! Only slight downside was the shower was a little feeble but there was plenty of hot water and it did the job! We were sad to leave!

  • "The shower was extrwmely inadequate due to lack of pressure."

An electric pump would have improved the situation. Also the cooker needs updating and the lack of an electric kettle was frustrating. The cottage was very warm and comfortable, and very suitable for two people. Apart from the two comments I have made for improvement, I would recommend this as a very nice base for a holiday.

  • "Great cosy cottage, easy walk to Main Street Haworth and always no problem to park."

In fact you could park up and walk, bus or train everywhere. Haworth is a beautiful village and a wonderful area. The cottage bed is comfortable and the room quiet. Well equipped, but no washing machine or wifi (at the time) and the shower pressure could be much improved. No welcome pack provided so make sure you bring basics for when you arrive. Lounge is really cosy with the fireplace and the kitchen is fine. Lovely little sitting out area. If there was wifi I'd definitely stay again.

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
