"It was the second time in this wonderful cottage, I love it very much, the interior is very cozy and personal."
The only disadvantages I can think of, is that the shower was very weak, but I believe it's going to be fixed soon and as I was staying here for 3 weeks, I missed a washingmachine. Other than that it's just a sweet and lovely cottage and definitely recommend it.
"The cottage had everything we needed but the shower wasn’t very good."
Most people had written about it in the visitors book so the owners are aware of the situation
"Lovely querky cottage ideal for couple or with child for the balcony bedroom."
.. fabulous location and just minutes from lovely cobbled street with lots of independent shops, cafes and pubs!! Owner very friendly and prompt with dealing with slight hot water issue, resolved SPEEDILY!! No hesitation in recommending!!
"A beautiful cottage in stunning countryside."
Cosy and stylish and a stone’s throw from The cobbled Main Street. A bracing walk to Top Withens and back followed by a glass of wine in front of the log burner - heaven!
"The cottage and area were really good, plenty of places to eat and drink and a great wood burner to come back to."
The owners were very friendly and helpful.
"The cottage was small and Mainly comfortable but we had some issues while we were there."
We were aware that previous guests had commented on the lack of power in the shower but the area of water coming out was no greater than 5cms. Worse shower we have seen. The toilet seat was also broken.
We had issues with the cleanliness. The oven was very dirty and greasy, the freezer compartment in the fridge was so iced up that there wasn’t room for food and we had to wash out the dishwasher before we could use it as there was food In the bottom left by the previous guests. We had brilliant weather while we were there but this then highlighted the very dirty windows.
There is a tv but we couldn’t watch it as BBC 1&2 were unavailable and the other channels kept pixelating. We did leave feedback in the cottage about these issues.
"The snug is in the perfect location for exploring Haworth and surrounding area."
It’s a lovely place to stay. The only problem we had was that the shower was a bit weak but everything was brilliant and would definitely stay again
"Very cosy cottage and very well equipped."
We had a lovely week, great position in the town and close to lots of pubs and tea rooms. Comfortable bed and really snuggly duvet! We struggled going up and down the stairs since they are rather narrow and we are rather tall! Only slight downside was the shower was a little feeble but there was plenty of hot water and it did the job! We were sad to leave!
"The Snug is cozy and in a great location."
It’s really comfortable and the log burner makes it even cosier in winter.
The bed is amazing and have a great night sleep.
Quality bedding is great and makes a difference too.
Really enjoyed stay and would come again and recommend also.
"Wow! It was perfect!"
Right location, right amount of space, cost, warm and just beautiful! Bed was comfy, loved the sofa! Would wholeheartedly recommend
"The shower was extrwmely inadequate due to lack of pressure."
An electric pump would have improved the situation. Also the cooker needs updating and the lack of an electric kettle was frustrating. The cottage was very warm and comfortable, and very suitable for two people. Apart from the two comments I have made for improvement, I would recommend this as a very nice base for a holiday.
"Another great cottage in a great location."
Would highly recommend Sykes Cottages to anyone. Top marks.
"Great cosy cottage, easy walk to Main Street Haworth and always no problem to park."
In fact you could park up and walk, bus or train everywhere.
Haworth is a beautiful village and a wonderful area.
The cottage bed is comfortable and the room quiet. Well equipped, but no washing machine or wifi (at the time) and the shower pressure could be much improved. No welcome pack provided so make sure you bring basics for when you arrive.
Lounge is really cosy with the fireplace and the kitchen is fine. Lovely little sitting out area.
If there was wifi I'd definitely stay again.
"The cottage is very small but has everything you need for 2 people."
Excellent location 2 minutes walk from the centre of the village. All local pubs had lovely home cooked food.
"Lovely cottage, with a well-equipped and stocked kitchen (no rushing out on arrival for oil and salt, etc."
) and in a tucked away and wonderfully quiet location close to the centre of Haworth village but with no noise.
"Rented for our son and grandaughter on a quick visit from Australia."
She loved her bed on the mezzanine with the Teddy!
Handy for cafes, restaurants and pubs, great choice within walking distance.
They found the natives very friendly and Abbey now has a passable Yorkshire accent.
Will stay there again.
"The Snug was just perfect for us."
We have never been anywhere that was so well equipped.
The Snug just lived up to its name small, snug and very comfortable.
"The cottage was very clean and cosy with everything we needed for our stay."
The area is very pretty with lots to see and do. Would go again
"As a couple of walking people (plus Fraser, the dog) we found the extreme hilliness confusing to direction finding!"
! So an ordnance survey map would have been useful, but hey, we should have taken one!! Everything else was "Grand"!!
"We would have appreciated to have more cutlery as well as a washing machine."
"Found booking this cottage very easy."
All information given was accurate and helpful. The cottage was lovely and we would definitely book again.
"Lovely clean, cozy cottage in a brilliant location."
The pubs, shops, restaurants, all the Bronte stuff and walks across the moors right on the doorstep. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We all had a great time. Will definitely be back and will certainly recommend to family and friends.
"The snug is a lovely cosy, clean and pretty cottage with all you could possibly need for a relaxing stay away from home."
It's in a brilliant location; everything is within walking distance and the stunning moors are on your doorstep.
"The Snug was exactly the type of cottage I like."
I knew as soon as we walked in that there would be no problems; it was spotlessly clean, cosy, warm and welcoming, a lovely place to relax. The location was ideal for walking into Howarth, it was away from busy areas but close enough to access. Howarth is lovely and friendly.
"We had a wonderful stay, the proximity of the cottage to the attractions and facilities in the area was excellent."
We will definitely return again.
"The Snug is a lovely, cosy cottage within walking distance of all the shops."
The log burner was great.
"Great location, just a stones throw from all of the shops and pubs etc."
A very comfortable cottage which has been refurbished to a high standard. Had a cosy fire to snuggle down to in the evening, comfortable beds, was very well equipped and had an efficient cooker. Great value for money.
"Overall the compact cottage was comfortable, pleasantly decorated and reasonably equipped."
"We were delighted with The Snug."
Can't say any more really, absolutely no complaints at all. We were warm, comfortable, secure, and totally 'at home'. Thank you again. We would definitely re-book and recommend both Sykes cottages and the owners as hosts.
"Great little cottage in a excellent place for Haworth main street with plenty of places to visit and things to do."
"We love Haworth and the surrounding countryside."
Staying at The Snug was an ideal situation. Handy for the lovely pubs and shops.
"The area is outstanding, have always loved Haworth, lots of interesting shops and lovely restaurants."
The views whilst walking our dog up Penistone Hill were just amazing, I'm from Yorkshire originally but moved away 14 years ago and it made me want to move back, nowhere else can beat Gods own county, love it!
"This was an excellent cottage which was presented to a very high standard."
The surrounding area is lovely with lots of things to do and visit.
"Very good location."
Very clean. Friendly phone call from owner.
