  • "We had a lovely time at Croft Cottage."

It's got a quirky layout and steep stairs so might not suit people with mobility issues but it's furnished nicely and well equipped. If you were 4 adults, you have the option of using the sofa bed in the downstairs sitting room too if you didn't want to share the bunks. Tessa, the owner, gave us lots of helpful information and provided a lovely welcome pack. We would stay there again and would most certainly recommend it.

  • "A lovely little cottage that requires just a touch of tlc to bring it up to first class standards ie drawer knob missing of kitchen drawer and only 3 chairs at kitchen table was a bit of a nuisance when there were 4 of us staying there."

Also no initial fuel for the log burner. Overall it was clean and tidy though shower could do with some work to remove black mould. All simple things to make this a really lovely place to stay in a great location. It hasn't put us off thinking we would perhaps stay there again though.

Glad you liked the cottage, and would stay again - we’d be delighted to welcome you back! Will get on with the small maintenance jobs. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review, much appreciated. Property Owner

Nice warm shower and great heating enjoyed using log burner after walking all day .Only downside was just needs a bit of tlc in places and a real good thoroughly clean and new pillow /cushions /duvet as stained when we stripped them down .We would stay here again if we came back as it suited us for everything we needed

Thanks for your review, glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back! We’ll look into the maintenance suggestions and get them fixed. Thanks again. Property Owner

We would not recommend this property!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. I am sorry that you feel that the property is not recommend worthy. Had I been made aware of the concerns we would have arranged to attend the property and rectify those issues. I am sorry that you felt that the only option would be to leave the early and as a result, it was agreed to refund you for the nights missed. Once again I am sorry that your stay was ended short early and thank you for your comments. Property Owner

Parking facilities are on a first come basis free car park across the road is always full picture of table and chairs in the garden is ambiguous as the table and chairs belong to next door

  • "Partner and I visited with our adult daughter."

The cottage is in a great location in the village, close to two great pubs, restaurants and shops, and we found it very comfortable. It was very clean, with Netflix and good internet. The only negatives was the bunk beds they are really only big enough for two children or one adult ( on the top bunk) and the shower which we had difficult adjusting the hot water. I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage.

Got caught by wet weather but still lots to do Very clean cottage and check out local food shops. Good space for a family.

  • "We felt that the cottage was a lot smaller than the pictures in the listing had led us to believe, particularly the garden, perhaps we just didn't realise but we were not aware it was a shared area, although this was not an issue."

We were very pleased with the location of the property, and it had all we needed for our stay. There were only a couple of issues that we encountered, parking was quite tricky even with the car park opposite, but to be expected with this style of property. The only real issue we had was with the shower. There seemed to be a distinct lack of hot water, it would run hot for a minute then switch to ice cold, not sure if there is maybe an issue with the boiler? as we had the same issue when running the kitchen tap. We did try running it to bring the water through, but then it would come hot and go cold a short time later. Just something to be aware of. All in all we had a pleasant stay with all that we needed for our break :).

The owners were fantastic - we had an issue with the central heating and they booked someone to come and fix the problem within the day while we were out. No hassle and everything we needed. Fantastic wood burning stove in winter! Kept us so warm with the beginning of autumn. The perfect get-away. Thankyou.

The cottage is very well situated in the centre of Pateley Bridge, so close to shops, cafes and pubs. There were 2 adults and 2 children in our cottage and there was enough room for us, with bunk beds for the kids and a downstairs den for them and a shared garden. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed in it and the owners provided a nice welcome pack so we could settle quickly. Overall, highly recommended.
