  • "What an absolute gem of a place to stay!"

! The apartment is huge inside with all the home comforts you could want. The owner even gave me a gorgeous cake as it was my birthday so kind! It's a great place to stay as a base to then go visit other places nearby, Ripon, Skipton, Harrogate and knaresborough. The local pub the crown does exceptional food in huge portions (beware) it was delicious and so friendly we loved it. Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Thank you Joan and family for your very kind feedback which is greatly appreciated. You were all wonderful guests and we look forward to hosting you again in the future. Samina Property Owner

Great choice of local shops, pubs & restaurants within a few minutes walk. Car park(s) very close by at extremely reasonable rates. Property may not suit those who have difficulties with stairs. Host was very helpful & easily contactable & left a much appreciated welcome pack on arrival. Would love to book again if re-visiting this area with family or friends. Highly recommended.

  • "Our holiday was a fantastic experience, we visited many places and we seen beautiful country side."

Unfortunately on our last day, my mother inlaw fell off the staircase and twisted her ankle. The staircase may not be adequate for elderly people. Other than that. It was a great apartment and beautiful clean.

  • "We loved every moment of our stay here."

It was organised, the customer service was superb. Every inch of the apartment was clean, and we had everything we could possible ask for to make our stay comfortable. We were so impressed with the apartment, that we have discussed coming back to stay again. First class accommodation that is very much recommended.

Thank you very much for your lovely comments and also for leaving the apartment very clean and tidy. I would love to have you come back and visit us . Samina Property Owner

  • "On the positive, the apartment was very clean and tidy, and very spacious."

The kitchen was well equipped, and the utility room was appreciated. On the negative, the radiator (which wouldn't turn off) on the entrance wasn't appreciated as the heat was unbearable - especially with the hot weather. The double bed and the twin beds were very uncomfortable. The en-suite shower and bath in the large bedroom were abysmal - the shower was useless - no water pressure, and the bath took far too long to fill (again no water pressure). The first-floor shower was also poor regarding the poor water pressure. Overall, for a £800 plus holiday apartment for one week, one would have expected much better. Also, if you are expecting a quiet holiday... be warned. The heavy traffic on the main road outside is very noisy with motorbikes and heavy vehicles passing regularly.

  • "Great clean apartment."

Very central for everything. Welcome pack was nice bonus and lots of added extras. Beds were comfy. Lots of steps though! Only negative was despite turning down the heating a couple of the radiator valves were broken and remained hot.

  • "Amazing apartment."

Superbly spacious Did wear us out having stairs after used to living in a bungalow but was worth it .We were extremely pleased and wowed at every room.We had the en-suite with the double aspect windows.Super views down the high street and over the hills. The owner had thought of everything and lots we didn’t take advantage of as we didn’t need but if you needed to wash or iron your clothes it was there to use.Any problem and Samina tried to sort it for us.She is very smiley friendly host and left us bread ,jam, biscuits, butter and crisps, which we thought so thoughtful.By far the best Sykes listing we have stayed

  • "Very spacious luxurious apartment with everything we needed for our stay."

Comfy beds with crisp attractive bedding, loads of storage, drawers and wardrobes. Plenty of thick towels and toiletries were also a helpful addition. There was plenty of stylish crockery, cutlery, glasses and pans for self catering in a spacious modern equipped kitchen. Pedestal fans were very welcome during our stay in the heatwave. It was also a nice touch to be welcomed with a few essentials of bread, milk, jam, butter, choccy biccies and ice in the freezer. The apartment is right on the main street so very near a convenience store, cafes, kebab/pizza and Indian takeaway, a couple of good pubs and some really lovely independent shops and galleries and a fab pancake and waffle cafe. Pateley bridge had a brilliant playground for our kids to let off some steam and is a great base for exploring North Yorkshire. Would recommend.

All the rooms are huge but there are steep staircases and steps in the corridors between rooms that may be a problem to anyone with limited mobility. The village is great everything you could need for a nice break and the walks around the area are superb. All in all a job well done thanks to Sykes and the owner Sam.

There's no parking but there is a free car park about 100 yards away which was fantastic. Arrived early and got the keys early too Sam was helpful we had a problem with the heating and she sorted it straight away got an engineer in within the hour. Nice and spacious sleeps 6 people but only has 5 comfy chairs in the living room would benefit, and has room for another 2 seater sofa to be comfortable. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped. We had a great weekend break fabulous walking straight out of our door.

  • "The accommodation was spotlessly clean, really well appointed, fabulously bright and warm and had everything that you could wish for in terms of equipment with the exception of a knife sharpener (a couple of the big knives needed honing)."

Local facilities were great too. The only very minor comment would be that perhaps, next time they are due for replacement the owner purchases Queen or King size beds as the ones there were short for all the '6 footers' in our party (4 of 6) and the bedrooms were plenty big enough to accommodate them.
