Hi Penny, thank you for your feedback and the lovely card you left at the cottage Property Owner
All facilities provided. Fantastic location if you love walking as very near to national trust carpark.

"Beautifully refurbished cottage, keeping the homely feel to the property."
Ideally located within a very scenic part of Yorkshire, lovely walks starting from the front door. Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay special and hassle free. Still a lot more to explore in the area so will be coming back soon, can not think of a better place to stay that compliments the beautiful surroundings of Calder Valley.
Hi Alan, thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back Property Owner
"Great property in a deep wooded valley above the Yorkshire town of Hebden bridge."
The property in on a no through road with road parking outside the front door. The road leads to a National Trust attraction and so may become busy at the weekends and school holidays. Open plan down stairs with two double bedrooms upstairs. Walk in shower. Good kitchen area with high quality equipment. I found the accommodation very comfortable with good decor and well furnished. The very near by countryside has many miles of wooded walks with open moorland above. Many local attractions close by. The only downside to the property is the extremely inadequate WiFi. Not much chance of any streaming so download content before arrival.
Hi Mike, Thank you for your helpful feedback. It was lovely to meet you and so glad you enjoyed your stay. I’ve a word withGuy about the WiFi and it’s as good as we can get so a great tip to download contents pre-visit Property Owner

"A wonderful cottage with everything you could ask for."
The owner was super helpful and left us some lovely local eggs and homemade granola to enjoy. The beds are comfy, the location is excellent and the garden is just beautiful. It's also surprisingly spacious - I didn't think it would be as large as it is from the photos because it looks small from the outside but the inside has plenty of room. Can't wait to return!
Thank you for your lovely feedback Sarah, so glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back Property Owner

"Great location and a very comfortable cottage."
Lots of enjoyable walks direct from the cottage. The parking is a little challenging for a larger car, but having said we only used the car once whilst we were there to top up on provisions. Will certainly book again.

"We had a wonderful week at Cragside Cottage."
The owner was very communicative and left an excellent supply of welcome goodies. The cottage is finished to a high spec but maintains a homely feel. We loved the view from the front of the property and ease of access to Hardcastle Crags. We didn't venture into the garden but enjoyed watching a wide range of birds from the kitchen. Would definitely recommend :)

"A superb holiday cottage."
Our stay exceeded our expectations! Very comfortable, cleanliness was superb and well equipped. Ideally located to the point you can park up and you don't have to drive anywhere. Everything is within easy walking distance. We have no problem at all recommending this property and it won't be the last time we stay here.
"Really enjoyed our stay at Cragside cottage."
The cottage was very clean with good sized bedrooms and lovely kitchen and living area. Great location for exploring Yorkshire. Our host was so helpful in recommending places to visit for little ones and the welcome hamper was lovely! Would definitely recommend this cottage for families with young children. Thank you!

"This was our second stay at lovely Cragside Cottage, and it won't be our last."
It is so clean, cosy, comfortable, and homely, we just love it. The position of it is just marvelous, beautiful location, very peaceful, with wonderful woodland walks from the doorstep. Also a really nice short walk into Hebden Bridge town. The owners are friendly and so kind. Just perfect.
"First class cottage with many beautiful walks right on the doorstep."
Comfortable with good facilities which are well considered by the owner, including an outstanding welcome box.
"The cottage is in a beautiful setting and has all the facilities you need for a really comfortable stay."
The owner left a very generous welcome box of essential food and delicious brownies. The cottage was exceptionally clean. We loved discovering the many walks and places in the area and returning to a log burning stove in the evening.
"The cottage was fabulous and in a great location for walks in the lovely valley."
"We loved our stay at the cottage from start to finish."
The owners are so attentive to detail and making the stay the best it possibly could be. The nearby walks and Hebden bridge are lovely and will definitely be coming again.
"The cottage was beautiful and facilities were excellent."
I would say it is the perfect romantic stay. The host was excellent very understanding, great sense of humour haha and knows how to look after their guests. The welcome box we recieved was excellent and helped us settle right in. Thank you for a lovely stay.
"This was our first holiday away as a family with our eight month old daughter."
We were due to be going to Spain before the pandemic and luckily managed to book Cragside Cottage for a week when our holiday was cancelled and we are so glad we did! The cottage was fantastic! The homely feel when you walk in, the pictures just can't do it justice. The cottage has been completely modernised and has everything you could need for a trip away. The open plan layout with the log burner makes you look forward to getting back after a long day out and you feel right at home as if it is your own house (we wish it was...) after your first day. The welcome box was a lovely touch when we arrived and we can honestly have no negative feedback whatsoever. Having the beautiful Gibson Mill walk on your doorstep is such a bonus and with your own permitted parking space, it means you can just stroll down and walk whenever you fancy. The little touches are really what makes this cottage stand out, and there is even a suggestion book of things the owners could add for those visiting in the future, so you can rest assured there is everything that you need when you arrive. Thanks Mel for providing us with such a beautiful cottage and we can't wait to come back, we miss it already!
"Cragside cottage is perfect."
It is beautiful, homely and spotlessly clean. It is so comfortable, the beds are amazing! The owners are lovely, and the welcome package was a fab and delicious surprise. The location is peaceful and in a perfect position with fantastic walks right from the doorstep. We will definitely be staying there again, hopefully next year. Thank you for a wonderful week away, it was the best!
Cottage had everything we needed for a lovely three night stay. Extremely clean and comfortable. Lots of nice touches such as the welcome basket. Great location for exploring the local area.
"The cottage was fantastic, clean, tidy and very comfortable."
I wanted to take the bed home with me it is that comfortable. Great that there was parking right outside the front door and a permit to stop it being taken while out. Lots of great walks around the cottage. The walk along the river to the Mill was great with a nice little cafe at the end. Also the 20 min walk along the river the other way into Hebdon Bridge also very nice and away from the traffic, not that there was much of that. In all a great little cottage, well presented and owned by a lovely polite couple. Thank you.
"We had a wonderful week at Cragside Cottage."
It is spacious and comfortable and in a peaceful location. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and we would not hesitate to recommend staying here. Extra touches like wi-fi and a dishwasher add to the very high standards of this accommodation and its location is great for visiting Hardcastle Crags and exploring West Yorkshire.
"Amazing little cottage."
Great location and attention to detail. Would definitely recommend x
"A wonderful location - we did some beautiful walks in and near Hardcastle Crags."
The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped. Clearly much thought has gone into working out what guests need and providing it. The information folder is one of the best I have seen in a rented cottage - the information you need is there, but there isn't a clutter of things you don't need.
"We appreciated the cleanliness and quality of the on trend modern furnishings and equipment in this beautiful cottage with original features."
Open plan layout and high ceiling provides a cosy but spacious area for four adults to relax in comfort. Both bedrooms are an excellent size with very comfortable beds. Welcome and information from the lovely hosts, along with a fabulous welcome box of goodies added to a great ‘holiday feel’ to set us up for exploring this stunning area steeped in history and lots of lovely walks from the doorstep. We enjoyed the woodland trail from the cottage into Hebden Bridge and were amazed at the quaint impact of support for independent shops and services, pubs and restaurants, of which there are lots to choose from. We have had a wonderful ‘staycation’ and can highly recommend.
"Had very poor weather but the quality of the accommodation helped to make."
up for it. The quantity and quality of the facilities were more than we have experienced in most prior rentals. Very comfortable and clean. Contact with owner easy if required and lovely welcome pack on arrival. Highly recommend
"Beautiful cottage, well equipped, cosy and spotlessly clean."
Mel was very helpful in answering questions before and during our stay. A quiet and peaceful location with endless walks from the door; highly recommended.
"Welcome crate full of goodies."
Lights on in cottage on arrival very welcoming. Toiletries. Maps and good information pack. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Fantastic walks close by and beautiful views .
"What a fantastic cottage."
It was comfortable, welcoming, and just generally a wonderful place to stay. I can't recommend it highly enough.
"Mel was great help!"
Providing accurate and timely information regarding our stay. The facilities were extremely clean with a wonderfully modern touch, making the stay extremely relaxed and homely.
Extremely clean with all amenities. Lovely location. The owners were very approachable if we had any queries. Would not hesitate to return to this property and hope we have the opportunity to do so.
"We loved the cottage."
It was very comfortable and well equipped. Mel met us on arrival and explained everything and was so helpful. We would definitely go again.
