Ideally located within a very scenic part of Yorkshire, lovely walks starting from the front door. Cottage had everything we needed to make our stay special and hassle free. Still a lot more to explore in the area so will be coming back soon, can not think of a better place to stay that compliments the beautiful surroundings of Calder Valley.

  • "Great property in a deep wooded valley above the Yorkshire town of Hebden bridge."

The property in on a no through road with road parking outside the front door. The road leads to a National Trust attraction and so may become busy at the weekends and school holidays. Open plan down stairs with two double bedrooms upstairs. Walk in shower. Good kitchen area with high quality equipment. I found the accommodation very comfortable with good decor and well furnished. The very near by countryside has many miles of wooded walks with open moorland above. Many local attractions close by. The only downside to the property is the extremely inadequate WiFi. Not much chance of any streaming so download content before arrival.

Hi Mike, Thank you for your helpful feedback. It was lovely to meet you and so glad you enjoyed your stay. I’ve a word withGuy about the WiFi and it’s as good as we can get so a great tip to download contents pre-visit Property Owner

The owner was super helpful and left us some lovely local eggs and homemade granola to enjoy. The beds are comfy, the location is excellent and the garden is just beautiful. It's also surprisingly spacious - I didn't think it would be as large as it is from the photos because it looks small from the outside but the inside has plenty of room. Can't wait to return!

We were due to be going to Spain before the pandemic and luckily managed to book Cragside Cottage for a week when our holiday was cancelled and we are so glad we did! The cottage was fantastic! The homely feel when you walk in, the pictures just can't do it justice. The cottage has been completely modernised and has everything you could need for a trip away. The open plan layout with the log burner makes you look forward to getting back after a long day out and you feel right at home as if it is your own house (we wish it was...) after your first day. The welcome box was a lovely touch when we arrived and we can honestly have no negative feedback whatsoever. Having the beautiful Gibson Mill walk on your doorstep is such a bonus and with your own permitted parking space, it means you can just stroll down and walk whenever you fancy. The little touches are really what makes this cottage stand out, and there is even a suggestion book of things the owners could add for those visiting in the future, so you can rest assured there is everything that you need when you arrive. Thanks Mel for providing us with such a beautiful cottage and we can't wait to come back, we miss it already!
