  • "Our second visit."

Great property and location. Tony available if needed. One small improvement would be providing a small bench on the decking - such a lovely sunny spot.

There were a lot of nice touches such as flowers and items in the refrigerator which were appreciated. Skipton has a lot to offer and a day in the local area is very rewarding. We would use again if in the Yorkshire Dales

The cottage was perfect for us - it had everything we needed and the view was wonderful. The owner Tony is great for offering ideas for things to do in Skipton and is super helpful. The welcome pack was incredibly generous. I just wished I had a longer stay! I really recommend it as a place to stay.

  • "Tony gave us a great welcome and a generous welcome pack, both of which were much appreciated."

The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need and comfortable. Great views over Skipton to the far hills from the lounge, bedroom and outside decking. You can walk down to the canal in 5 minutes, and on to Gargrave if you feel like it. Skipton has many cafes, independent shops and well known supermarkets. Note the stairs in the cottage are steep, but there is a sturdy handrail. Lovely stay.

The cottage is perfect for exploring the local area or just having a place to stay to kick back and recharge the batteries while enjoying the fabulous uninterrupted views over the town and southern hills. Everything was provided to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible - I especially enjoyed the complementary wine and my partners loved the flowers. The cottage was beautifully maintained and immaculate inside and out.

Tony is the perfect host and everything required for a comfortable stay is provided. The cottage has one of the best views in Skipton and the large south-facing windows offer a perfect vista overlooking the town and the distant hills. Parking is available outside the property and we never had any problems finding a space. The cottage is situated a short walk from the town centre, local amenities and nearby walks - a really fantastic location. Highly recommended; we'll be back!

  • "We really liked this property."

Up a short, steep hill, it had lovely views from the deck, over Skipton and the surrounding countryside. A five minute walk took us to the town centre. It was an easy, comfortable place for two people to stay. It was very well equipped and Tony had generously provided many items in addition to the basic welcome pack, including flowers and fruit. He also kept in touch to ensure we had all we needed. A very pleasant small traditional house for a short break in a beautiful place.

). Comfortable, good WiFi, close to Skipton centre. The streets are hilly, but this is Skipton! Excellent communication from the owner throughout and he checked in with us mid-week to make sure all was OK. I would have no problems recommending this property or owner. Just do not turn up in a big car because you will have trouble parking it!

Plus points - The owner left us a much appreciated welcome pack of food and some fresh flowers. Although a traditional terraced house it has fresh, modern decor and mod cons such as induction hub, smart speakers and internet TV Well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful views over Skipton from the house or the decking area to the rear. Loads of space for luggage, etc. Warm and comfortable with effective central heating and stove-style gas fire Quiet area, but just a short wak to the scenic canal area and the town centre. It would have been a bonus to have a vacuum cleaner for odd spilt crumbs, bit that's a minor point. Also the stairs are fairly steep, which is something to consider if you are not very fit. All in all we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this property.

  • "Return trip."

We stayed here in September so when we had planned a short Christmas trip to South Yorkshire it was a no brainer to add on a few days in North Yorkshire, and there was only one place we wanted to stay. With all the uncertainty about travel at the moment Tony was very accommodating and kept us up to date with options as others changed their bookings. When we arrived the Christmas tree was up and the candles lit (rechargeable ones that is) in the lounge so it was homely as soon as you walked through the door. Already planning a stay in 2022.

...WOW.The cottage was so inviting and very homely. The cottage was spotless and tastefully decorated. And what a welcome pack. with tea, coffee and sugar on the counter and also 4 wholemeal rolls. Open the fridge and there was milk, juice , bottle of prosecco, butter spread and sandwich fillers. Two types of cake then in a fruit bowl was apples bananas and satusuma. Then there was two vases of flowers. What a welcome. Plenty of books to read or games to play. Plenty of of leaflets for trips in the area. Skipton is so so pretty and the cottage is 5 mins from the town centre. Tony is a lovely person and nothing was too much trouble for him. He gives you lots of information before you arrive. A fabulous place that i would highly recommend to any couple.

The property is located at the top end of town with the best views of the area from the rear garden veranda where you can sit and chill as the sun goes down. The owner, Tony, said it was his first year of letting out the property and could we point highlight anything he could improve. We failed to provide any suggestions as the amenities are first class with everything you will need during your stay provided.
