Mrs Howard “Lovely three storey property in excellent location overlooking the canal.”
We have been regular visitors to Skipton/Grassington for the Christmas Festivals for the past ten years but until now have been unable to book this property due to the number in our group, so this year being just the two of us we finally got to stay at Mill Bridge. The only slight for us was the overhead shower, much prefer directional ones, other than that we had yet another enjoyable week in the vibrant market town of Skipton.

Mr Lambert “Fantastic”
Mr Matthews “Excellent location, superb accommodation easy walking to shops and eating establishments, ideal exploring base.”
Thoroughly enjoyable time.
Mr Boag “The cottage was perfect for us, it was in a central location but in a lovely setting by the canal.”
BrigidShaw “cosy apartment centrally located with secure parking - ideal base for exploring Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales.”
The cottage is split level located in the centre of Skipton with secure parking for one car. The accommodation is of a good standard, though as it is split over 3 floors, those with mobility issues may have difficulties. It is opposite the Castle Inn, a good place to eat with friendly staff, and also close to the Canal, a nice walk on an evening. The kingfisher was an added bonus! Skipton itself is good for shopping and eating, the Castle is well worth a visit and there are pleasant walks in Skipton Woods as well as great views from Skipton Moor. Skipton itself is ideally placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales - Malham, Ilkley Moor, Bolton Abbey etc are just a short drive away.
Robert O “Lovely stay, glad I didn't read previous reviews before booking.”
The property is in a fantastic location, best in the town probably. Accommodation comfortable, clean and well equipped. Great to have reserved secure parking in a town centre location but with so much within walking distance, we rarely used the car. To sum up, a lovely, quirky little place that we were very happy to come home to each evening, hard to fault.

About the location
SKIPTON
Grassington 9 miles; Harrogate 20 miles.
Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2008 the Academy of Urbanism voted the High Street the best shopping spot in Britain, and The Copper Dragon/Greyhawk Brewery is highly rated in the CAMRA listings. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel. Golf, swimming, squash, tennis and snooker are all available locally and the excellent public transport means the car can be left at home!
