It was a pleasure to stay there. I hope the standard is maintained. It was warm, comfortable and cosy. Well done.

  • "Very disappointed by the owners response to my query regarding the Freeview service."

It is not acceptable to expect everyone to have a smart phone and be able to access wifi (even if I had a smart phone I had no password). When a cottage advertisers Freeview we would normally expect to be able to access all the channels not just BBC as the person who phoned told me!!!!!!!

It's so close to everything Skipton has to offer. We had everything we needed and appreciated the sweet treats and milk that greeted us on our arrival.

  • "The property is charming and cosy, the kitchen is very well stocked."

The lounge is cosy with the fire on, sofas could be more comfortable. Beds were on the small side. The Cottage is fine for 5 adults but it would be better for a family with 3 younger adults or children. Overall we had an amazing Christmas at the Cottage, there is so much to do on your doorstep, with the canal and woods very close by, and 2 major supermarkets within easy walking distance. There is a good choice of cafes and bars/pubs along the High Street. Have always loved Yorkshire but fell more in love with it after this cottage break.

  • "Overall a comfortable and well located property."

Two things to consider if you are less mobile. 1) Stairs are very steep and there is a right angled bend at the bottom of the stairs which means that parts of the treads are narrow. 2) You have to walk about 50 metres from the car space for the property to the back door of the property itself, so make sure whatever you take is easy to carry.

  • "Cherry Tree Cottage was perfect for us, despite being just off the main street it was quiet and peaceful."

The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, the bathroom was modern and comfortable as were the beds. The house remained cool during the two-day July heatwave which was a bonus. With the train station about ten minutes walk and bus station nearby it was not essential to have a car.

Lovely and clean. You couldn't want to stay in a better location in Skipton. The stairs are a little steep with 1 bannister which is something to bear in mind. Overall excellent. Can't wait to stay again!

  • "The cottage is delightful and in a great location being in town and so close to everything."

I would highly recommend it but not for people with mobility issues because the stairs are very steep and come round a bend at the bottom which made it hard for my husband to get up and down. There was no highchair by the way although that is listed on the facilities and we had a 2 year old with us so it was a bit awkward. Other than that we enjoyed staying there very much.

  • "What a fantastic cottage."

Situated in the centre of the town but On a quiet yard just off the main street, and a few metres from the canal. The cottage has private parking right outside which is a bonus. We found it to be very clean and Very comfortable. Some really lovely touches with the decor. The rooms are all a good size with plenty of wardrobe space. The bed was so comfy. We had taken our own pillows as we normally find them not suitable in holiday accommadation, but to be honest we didn't need them. A lovely corner outside with table and chairs to sit and relax with a drink. I would definitely recommend Cherry tree cottage. We hope to return in the near future. Just the therapy needed for a relaxing break.

We were able to sample a local restaurant, walked around skipton woods and saw the local railway including stopping for a coffee at the cavendish arms, well worth the walk. • "The cottage is lovely, furnished very well, all kitchen equipment you could require."

Beds beautifully comfortable, no trouble sleeping in those. All that & only two minute walk through the alley and directly into the High street, a definite advantage. The town very well served with major supermarkets only a 10 minute walk around the corner. Words cannot express the beauty of the Dales. THE COTTAGE. The Hot water boiler was broken on arrival (water when running from taps kept going cold, however owner & caretaker done all they could to rectify). This was still not as good as it should be when we left. Television reception abysmal not possible to watch. This was a disappointment as after a very long day hiking all that is required is a hot bath/shower & relax in front of the TV. We believe an aerial booster would rectify this problem. If the above were addressed we shall have no hesitation in booking this cottage over & over again.
