"We have stayed several times at Weaver's cottage and have had an excellent holiday everytime."
Contact with the cottage manager is always first class & everything you need is in the cottage. Cleanliness is excellent & our stay is consistently comfortable & enjoyable. We do not have a car but Skipton is within a 5 minute walk & the bus/train service takes you out into the surrounding area easily. We do not hesitate to recommend this cottage.

"Weavers cottage was one of the best equipped homes we have stayed in."
In a great position for walking in to town also for visiting the local area. Plenty of walks all around. Skipton Castle and woods both worth a visit also the museum in Town Hall. Excellent house details sent to us in advance and the day after we arrived we were contacted to see if we had any problems. We didn't, a super place to stay, will recommend.

"A lovely little house very comfortable no problems ."
Although no fault of the owners but the lounge furniture was not suitable for people with joint problems would recommend a more suitable chair. the steps on entry to the house are quite difficult suggest a rail on the right hand side to enable safety otherwise had a most enjoyable stay.

"Weaver's Cottage was perfect for our week in Yorkshire - we had a wonderful time, rather wet but restful all the same."
As we prefer not to drive, we always look for properties within walking distance of train/bus links and Weaver's Cottage was about a ten minute walk from both the station and bus station in Skipton - not too far to carry our bags, and plenty of taxis at the station if we'd been feeling lazy.
The house was very easy to find - really clear directions and instructions provided. We had lots of helpful text information from the owner/caretaker which was both welcoming and reassuring - if there had been a problem (which there wasn't) we'd have been able to get help.
The house was beautifully warm and clean when we arrived - bedding, towels, kitchen equipment - especially pleased to find a cafetiere, cleaning things and hand wash - it all makes life so much easier when you don't have to shop for these things just for a week. It was lovely that someone had taken the trouble to put up some charming Christmas decorations - a really sweet touch.
The beds were very comfortable, the sitting room was too - wifi was great and tv easy to use. The weather was pretty wet so it was good to have hard floors all through the ground floor - no worries about ruining carpets. We didn't use the stove as we didn't have any means of getting more wood other than carrying it, but a starter kit of wood and kindling was provided.
Skipton and the surrounding area are quite lovely, the people friendly, interesting shops, lots of places to eat - we loved the Two Sisters. Lots of walking - the Castle Woods in Skipton, the tow path to Gargrave, and in and around Malham, Settle and Bentham.
A friendly, warm, comfortable, nicely furnished and well looked after place to stay on a quiet street within easy walking distance of Skipton town centre.

"We did find the starters of washing up liquid, soap, kitchen towel, loo rolls etc very useful."
I do hate it when you arrive and immediately have to rush out and buy all those basics. There was also a starter pack for the wood burner but to be honest the place was so lovely and cosy we never felt the need for it.

"Weaver’s Cottage is ideally situated close to Skipton Town Centre but far enough away to be very quiet."
The cottage is well maintained and clean, we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Yorkshire.
We had a wonderful holiday, Skipton is the perfect Centre for visiting The Dales and all the nearby towns.

"This is our second stay at Weavers Cottage & was just as clean & comfortable as we remembered it."
It's a great base for all the local amenities & although we travelled by train, we had no problem visiting Grassington, the Worth Valley Railway & other places by bus. We had a great time & are planning to go back again next year for a truly relaxing & happy holiday in a beautiful location.

"We found the house immaculately clean."
There were lots of things in the kitchen, like tea coffee sugar (not just complimentary sachets). Cupboards had things like cooking foil, cooking oil, and cling film. Lots of useful condiments. Very well equipped kitchen. Got internet connection easily. TV worked well when we sat to watch. The linens were lovely quality, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The bath is large and relaxing. Not situated in the town centre if you walk you have to be prepared to go up hill and down hill in steep streets. And the steps up to the front door are extremely steep without rails until you get to the front door. The rear entrance taking you out to the cobbled back lane is a very easy access point. You may have trouble parking in the street, neighbours take up all the road with their cars. A very inviting cottage, very comfortable to stay, and we will definitely be going back next year.

I would highly recommend Weaver's Cottage and was very impressed with the high standard to which it had been furnished. May not be suitable for those who have trouble with steps, but once you're inside, it truly is a home from home

"We particularly liked the kitchen and the cosy living room."
The cottage was a good size and could easily accommodate four people comfortably. Although the road was on the level, many of the surrounding streets were very hilly, so we wouldn't recommend this property to anyone who has any walking problems. Also, the steps into the cottage were very steep as was the indoor staircase. On the whole though. we were very pleased with the cottage.
