Another coffee table in lounge, another bedside lamp, pint glasses and hooks in the bathroom. Other than that it was a lovely comfortable cottage.

..not what I was expecting at all for a last minute booking! Deer in the garden, steam trains going past just a lovely tranquil place. Really clean and everything you needed from iron, washing machine to comfy sofa! Would defo be going back next year!!!

Cottage bigger than it looks but missing silly things to make stay more special, Table in Lounge, shelves or unit in Bathroom to put toiletries on, tiny half sized fridge in full sized space. Generally wonderful place to stay would recommend highly despite its very minor faults

It led us to a country pub and when we asked where the Bronte caravan park was they gave us new directions (about 2 miles away). Apparent this is a regular is a regular occurrence.

E. no casserole dishes, basins, jug, teapot, milk jug, potato masher, grater, sieve etc. There was only one bath towel supplied for 2 people for a week. No wifi which everyone uses nowadays. Otherwise it was a warm cosy cottage. The steam trains pass by regularly. Near to Haworth which is worth visiting.

“Good Base for Bronte Country”

If you are travelling to the site make sure you check on a map first and don;t follow sat nav. it takes you some distance away. Once on the site we realised what a quiet peaceful location the bungalow is set in. The accommodation is well appointed spacious, clean and comfortable. The Settee is a real asset. Plenty of hot water and powerful shower. Lovely to walk around the lake and watch the steam train go by. Only one issue, lacks some basic kitchen items such as a grater, mixing bowl and sieve. only an issue is you want to do more cooking.

Bronte Cottages

A group of two semi-detached cottages set on the owners’ Bronte Caravan Park. These lovely cottages have been renovated to a very high standard and provide an ideal retreat for a couple to get away from it all and enjoy this historic corner of the Yorkshire Dales. The park lies in the Worth Valley alternatively known as the Bronte Country and forms part of the attractive Yorkshire Pennines. The park is less than two miles from the quaint village of Haworth, the former home of the famed Bronte sisters, and boasting excellent restaurants, cafes and good old fashioned, traditional pubs. Both cottages are located over the ground floor and the accommodation is modern and stylish with a bright and cheery feel throughout. The cosy sitting areas feature a large leather corner suite, a modern flat screen TV and patio doors with access to the private rear gardens. The kitchen diner in both properties is spacious and modern with a good range of units and equipment levels providing an excellent space for self-catering. The bedroom is bright and cheery in both properties and the adjoining bathroom is a modern bathroom suite. The park, nestling in its own hidden valley, offers total peace and tranquillity, romanticised with its own Fallow deer park, with the deer sometimes visiting guests in the gardens, two acre lake and the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway running close to the park's boundary, on the opposite side of the river providing the spectacular and nostalgic sight of steam trains. The park is easily accessible from the motorways and ideally situated as a base to enjoy Howarth and its lovely moorland walks. Skipton, gateway to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, is less than 10 miles away, and the Lake District another 30 minutes’ drive beyond. Equally close are the cities of Leeds and Bradford, not to mention a pub lunch on offer at Emmerdale's Woolpack Inn.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
