We have stayed in cottages previously but this is by far the best we have stayed in and you would not find a better place nor hosts. Maggie and Martin are excellent hosts and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We were so sorry to have to leave and would not hesitate to return. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed his stay and Maggie and Martin have made their garden very secure and dog friendly. Altogether a great experience in a beautiful location.

Thank you so much Margot and Ian for your lovely comments....to be honest we really enjoyed our chats and laughs and was amazed at how adorable and well behaved Harry was even when the weather was almost too hot!! Do hope your journey home wasn't too busy and wish you all a safe and happy summer. • "We had a wonderful stay at the Old Bike."

As other guests have mentioned, the WiFi is a little slow, but this didn't bother us - we weren't in that often! The surrounding area is amazing so the Old Bike shed is perfectly situated for exploring Loch Lomond and the Trussochs. The welcome goodies were amazing - especially Maggies homemade shortbread! Mandy & Adam.

Very many thanks for your lovely comments as we really appreciate ideas how we can improve the facilities in an attractive but limited space. Delighted to provide a welcome pack as not being near shops it allows guests to have a tea/coffee/wine and shortbread on arrival and the BBQ is easy to use in the warmer weather. Thank you for staying at the Old School Bike Shed and do hope you have an enjoyable and warm summer....Maggie and Martin Property Owner

  • "We had the best stay at the Old Bike Shed!"

Maggie and Martin made us feel so welcome with extra touches like homemade shortbread and wine provided for us. The house was spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed to cook. We loved the bath and the huge comfy bed. The only thing we'd point out is that the wifi is quite slow so maybe not good enough for video calls etc., but is just about enough to stream a movie. Looking forward to returning!

Thank you for your lovely comments...it's really important and helpful that our guests are honest about things that can be improved. Unfortunately we're unable to improve the broadband...we have tried many times but due to the fact we are rural our complaints have been ignored. However we're delighted you had a really enjoyable stay along with gorgeous sunshine!! It's such a pleasure to provide a welcome pack with all sorts of items which you're able to relax and enjoy and hopefully it'll be a warm summer that we can all enjoy. Such a pleasure to meet you both and our sincere thanks for staying at The Old School Bike Shed....Maggie & Martin Property Owner

Thank you Elaine and David for your generous comments and pleased that you both enjoyed your week at the Bike Shed...weather wise it was freezing but to hear you were really warm and had lovely walks in the sunshine was a great relief as it was early in the year. Equally it was lovely to meet you both and to hear about your life in Nepal which we could have listened to for ages. Do hope your drive home wasn't to arduous and that you have a lovely warm summer. We seen Maggie and Martin on arrival and they are the most wonderful couple, very helpful and so friendly really made us feel welcome. The bike shed is clean and has a lovely comfortable bed. The bathroom is great and has a very good shower and bath. It also has the facilities needed for a self catering stay, Although there is no full oven it does have 2 hobs and a combi microwave oven to use which was fine for us. Maggie and Martin provided the most amazing welcome pack..we were over the moon and very appreciative, Maggies short bread was gorgeous. The bike shed is in a great location, lovely and quiet, waking up to the views was amazing. Short drive to Aberfoyle for any shops and restaurants, also short drive to any walking trails in the area and there are plenty of walking or cycling trails to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the area. We will definitely be back to explore more of the surrounding areas and will definitely choose the old school bike shed. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again and all the best.

Thank you Rebecca and Brad for such wonderful feedback. We love doing our holiday let but most of all it's very important to us to know our guests feel welcome and comfortable in a spotlessly clean property. Great hosts in Maggie and Martin. A very fulsome welcome pack. Thankyou. We cycle and found the venue ideal for access to tracks and trails. The pictures of the venue show exactly what is available. One large extremely comfortable very well equipped room with lovely bathroom and brillant shower and bath. The TV was not important to us and although we followed the instructions it did not work. I'm sure our hosts would have helped but the issue was not important for us. Maggie provided exquisite shortbread; the whole experience gets a thumbs up from us. Highly recommend it.
