If you're looking to relax and unwind whilst enjoying the great British countryside, you may want to consider a holiday cottage in the South Downs National Park.

The South Downs National Park is officially England's newest National Park, after becoming fully operational in 2011, and is a great destination to experience beautiful countryside. There's a variety of things you can do on a holiday in the area, from walking and cycling to visiting a variety of historic attractions.

With over 2,000-miles of extensive footpaths, there's plenty for families, couples or dog-walkers to explore whilst taking in the beautiful rolling countryside. It will come as no surprise that many famous authors loved walking in the area, including Virginia Woolf and Edward Thomas. From the famous South Downs Way to exploring the countryside and encountering old Saxon burial mounds, there's much to love in this National Park.

The rich agriculture land has resulted in a variety of produce being produced over the years, perfect for the food and drink lovers out there. There is an array of inns, cafes and restaurants you can head to after a day exploring the area and even some fine vineyards for those wishing to experience some culture on their holiday.

We have a range of self-catering cottages in the area perfect for a family holiday or couple's retreat.
