  • "We have stayed at Feshiebridge Logdes a few times."

It is apparent that they are starting to decline since our first stay. The washing machine was unusable and had a fault code displayed. The dishwasher leaked a couple of times in the kitchen. The downstairs shower was very dirty with mould and grime at the base of the shower area. The oven does not have a clear instruction guide. It explains what the symbols are but not that you have to set the timer for it to work. No key was provided to enable use of the outside shed. The fire and the external fire pit had not been cleaned. The downstairs bed was loose. It is a shame as this has lowered our level of expectancy of the standard and confidence in the lodge.

  • "Fantastic lodge and beautiful location."

The lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. There were 2 couples in our party and there was lots of room for sitting and relaxing after a day out exploring. All of the bedrooms were so spacious, we had the big downstairs bedroom that had the massive walk in shower next door which was great. The outdoor space is ideal and we still managed to sit outside even when it was raining thanks to the covered section. Phone signal is pretty none existent but that’s what I would expect being in a remote location but the WiFi was fine for general browsing on the internet The location is great with so many beautiful walks either from the lodge or just a short drive away. The nearby river is perfect if you fancy a cold dip and the Glenmore area had some fantastic walks with stunning views of the mountains and there’s lots of Lochs nearby of various sizes (Loch Eileen was lovely) Aviemore is only a 15 to 20 minute drive away and has a small Tesco and an Aldi for stocking up on supplies Would definitely recommend and would stay again for sure.

  • "The property as described by Sykes was accurate."

It wasn't very clean, we needed to Re wash some of the utensils and pans before using them. The outside area hadn't been swept at all and there was a packet of cigarettes left out there. Our bed downstairs really creaked every time you moved. The fridge was noisy in the open plan area and needs replacing and I wouldn't suggest someone could sleep in there. I am disabled and found the loo in the wet room to be extremely low and needed to put a chair in there to help me. I would suggest some explanation of accessability of the surrounding area to be added, so other people are aware that the paths aren't wheelchair friendly and you would need a robust mobility scooter to get around easily. Other than that we found Scotland beautiful and the weather was bonus.

There are great walks right from the door. The water pressure on the shower was insane (thank you). When you’re tired and cold from a strenuous hike there was nothing better.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, we hope to welcome you back soon! Property Owner

  • "Great Location for our family holiday."

The forest and walk down to the river was lovely. Loads of activities nearby, would recommend the Highland wildlife park, Landmarks and loch an Eileen. Aviemore was only a short drive away with a Tesco, Aldi and a lovely fish and chips shop. The lodge was very modern and the down stairs living area layout was great, lovely spacious bedrooms and we really liked the downstairs shower. We were expecting king-size beds as advertised but they were only doubles. You cannot park next to the lodge it's a communal parking area. Freesat is provided but steaming was prohibited on the TV as the WiFi provided was for all the lodges. There was only 1 TV in the property. We unfortunately had no phone signal. Unfortunately The air source heat pump was very noisy at night and was situated directly outside the downstairs bedroom window.

Many thanks for your feedback, we’re really pleased that you enjoyed the beautiful, remote location of Feshiebridge Lodges. The remoteness does limit things like WiFi, phone signal and streaming possibilities but pleased be assured there is generally WiFi and phone signal available, unfortunately occasionally there are drop-outs though. We’re continuing to review local infrastructure and technology so that we can take advantage of any developments, we’re keen to ensure the lodges are the perfect retreat! Property Owner

The house was and holiday were very good and it’s a great location with loads of places and things to do within easy reach The things we found disappointed was no mirror in upstairs bathroom only being supplied with 3 dishwasher tabs 2 toilet rolls per bathroom 1 hand towels and 2 bin bags for the whole week also I would suggest a dustpan and brush for the entrance hall to keep it tidy

Thank you for your feedback and your lovely comments. The properties are self catering and we do provide you with a small starter pack however supplies are not provided for the whole stay We will take onboard your comments. Thanks for booking with us. We are glad you enjoyed the surrounding area Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at the lodge."

The property is decorated beautifully and it was equipped with almost everything you would need (tiny thing is we could have done with better plastic plates/bowls/cups for the kids but this is not a big issue!) It was very clean. The location is excellent, really peaceful and feels off the beaten track but actually very close to lots of activities and many walks right on your doorstep. We would definitely stay again.

  • "Absolutely loved our stay at Wildcat Lodge."

Very warm, immaculately clean and super comfortable. We loved how the lodge was really set up for activity holidays. We had 4 bikes and the bike storage area and bike wash was brilliant. The location was very private and you felt like you were really away from it all. Wifi also good for general use. Had no issues and husband had to do a bit of work too whilst there. Not sure how well it would cope with video calls etc but considering you are in the middle of a forest it was very good. Brilliant cycle routes locally, our favourite being around Loch Morlich. Stunningly beautiful. So much to do, you won’t be bored! We have 2 boys and they loved the tubing on the caingorm mountain. There is also Loch Insh activity centre just a mile or so up the road which has all sorts of activities and a small dry ski slope. Worth a visit. Aviemore itself is a lovely little town, there is a Tesco and Aldi, along with loads of coffee shops, gift shops etc. Thanks for a wonderful holiday, we will definitely be back

  • "Had a lovely weeks holiday at this lodge."

Although we had neighbours either side you never heard them. Lodge a perfect place for peace and relaxation. We had no hob for the first four days till owner organised two individual portable hobs to arrive at house. Loved the outside log burner. The woods behind house were perfect for walking and the river so handy for wild swimming. We will definitely be back.

  • "I don't think the carpets had been vacuumed or the furniture moved, when sweeping the floor."

A heating engineer arrived on the Wednesday, of which we were not notified. The hob on the cooker broke, we were told it would be fixed within 2-3 days, but hadn't been repaired when we left, this meant we had to through food away that we were unable to cook as we had no hob. Top bathroom needs a mirror. Saying all this we would stop at Feshiebridge lodges again.

Although all 4 lodges and the 2 apartments were booked we experienced total tranquility. We sat outside by the fire in the evening and could not hear a sound from the other groups. Gorgeous walks on the doorstep too. Hope to return again in autumn. Highly recommend.

  • "Wildcat Lodge is clean, comfy, warm and spacious accommodation."

The shower is great and there's plenty of hot water the beds are super. It's surrounded by beautiful quiet woodland and you can watch red squirrels playing in the trees. There are a few things that could be improved including a welcome book with local and house information, enough washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs for the week, and at least a couple of nights logs -it seems strange to advertise that the lodge has a woodburner but expect you to buy logs from a not very local garage. The main problem though unfortunately is the noise from the air source heat pump outside the downstairs bedroom and the boiler situated in the middle of upstairs. These were so noisy that we had to turn the heating off at night.

) but this accommodation was fantastic, immaculate, very stylish, and very well kitted out, with everything you could need and more. Moreover, It was in a lovely, peaceful setting, amidst pine forests. We have already been recommending it to family members and would love to stay again. A few brochures about things to do in the local area might have been a nice, extra touch, even a free map but one could obtain these elsewhere easily enough. And, it wasn't possible to get your car as close to the lodge as you might wish, if you had a lot of luggage, or shopping. This is by far the nicest holiday accommodation that we have ever stayed at.
