  • "West Pembrokshire is a beautiful area."

We had forgotten how narrow the lanes are, but fortunately we only met 2 (very large) tractors! The cottage was adequate and I guess it was the Covid-19 restrictions which meant there were no scatter cushions, pictures on the walls, or games and books to read. Also, no garden furniture, which was a shame as the weather was perfect for sitting outside on the lawned area. But our host was able to lend us an Ordnance Survey map of the area, which was invaluable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your stay, we have had to remove some items from the property due to covid regulations, this is explained to guests in our pre-arrival welcome letter, and also notated in the property, this is to ensure the safety of our guests. As explained on arrival the garden furniture is located in the map room. We are on hand during your stay incase of any questions or concerns and would have been happy to advise and help out if needed. Property Owner

The cottage has a generous double room and twin room, both with their own bathroom. Very comfortable, well equipped cottage. Beautiful walks from the cottage. The hosts also provide tours which we would highly recommend if new to the area.

  • "Carol and Ian, the owners, are very friendly and helpful."

The cottage was warm with abundant hot water and heating and in a lovely part of the country. Sadly we suffered a period of storms and rain all week, so did not do the walking we had planned, but that was not the cottages fault! Maybe we will go back again and have better weather. • "This is a very comfortable cottage in a quiet location."

The cottages have been recently renovated with care and attention to detail and have been designed to maximise privacy. The abundant heating and hot water is supported by excellent insulation and creates a cosy atmosphere. Coupled with this benefit, the bedroom and living room are spacious making it easy to relax when indoors. The fixtures and fittings were practical and of good quality, selected to cater to every need - with touches of elegance in the bed linens and curtains. We were surprised to find a direct route to Newport on the coast and our walking holiday became primarily focused on the coastal paths. The Preseli Hills are also on the doorstep. Ian and Carol were very friendly and helpful hosts offering lots of information about the local places of interest and the history of the area. They were readily available yet totally respected our privacy. For us, this was probably the best holiday rental out of many over a good number of years.

  • "Lovely Well appointed cottage in great location."

All Covid19 precautions in place but not intrusive. As I am 80 and have a troublesome cough (not covid) we prefer separate bedrooms with en suite, so Foxglove was perfect. Nice sitting / dining room. As there were only two of us we didn't bother with the dishwasher and had enough clothes not to need the Washer dryer. Useful fridge freezer, hob and oven. Excellent Free Wifi and TV. Local mobile phone signals are poor, but skype messenger or whatsapp got round that. An enjoyable 6 Km walk to the Dyffryn Arms for a real Ale. Nearest waterfall 200 metres away. Surrounded by woods, and the Presseli Hills for local walking. 5 or 6 miles by car to shops in Newport. Easy trips to the ancient cathedral city of St Davids and the county town of Cardigan (Ceredigion) with its medieval castle and river Teifi. Newport Beach is about 7 miles and well worth a visit, or lunch at the Golf Club. Owners Carol and Ian Pattison were great hosts. Lived nearby, but not in your face. Always there if you needed them, and good for helpful advice and assistance. We were there late September with a lot of warm sun, front in the morning, great for sitting out the back with a glass of wine in the evening. Due to livestock in the vicinity dogs are not allowed. We are already planning our next visit. The local rivers have run of Sewin (sea trout) in their season and ticket fishing is said to be available. Also Salmon in the Teifi. Great walking country.
