  • "Lovely cottage to stay in."

Definitely one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. Well equipped and well looked after. Plenty of walks nearby, Kirriemuir is a lovely place to visit. Would recommend visiting the Airlie Arms for a meal.

  • "Lovely peaceful location for exploring Angus, the east coast and even NT properties in Aberdeenshire."

The cottage was ideal for our needs and the owner put a lot of thought into its presentation and the comfort it provided for a relaxing holiday. Extremely well equipped for all our needs and loved the shower. Outside space excellent for our dog and he even enjoyed making friends with his neighbours over the fence- the cows, calves and even the bull

  • "The cottage was lovely."

It had everything you needed for a short stay. The goodie bag and the fresh milk was very welcome on our arrival. It was lovely seeing the cows; although we did have a laugh when my grandson woke on the first morning thinking he was dreaming and then realised it was the cows bellowing! Thanks again.

Hi June, Thank you for your lovely feedback. Glad you enjoyed seeing the cows on the farm, they are away out to the grass today as the sun has finally appeared :-) Best regards Donna Property Owner

  • "Steading Cottage is comfortable, clean with everything you need."

The owners were v welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure everything was fine. There's a bright spacious kitchen with plenty of seating and a cosy sitting room. We've both enjoyed being part of the farm, and despite it being calving have not been disturbed by any noises. There have been some magical sunrises across the fields. It's a good base for travelling around this part of Angus.

  • "Amazing time at Steading Cottage."

Lovely comfortable cottage in an idyllic location on a working farm. Just need to remember that during harvest time corn dryers are likely to be in use and they are literally next to the cottage. Extremely noisy!

Hi Carol, Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. As you quite rightly said we are located on a working farm and at certain times of the year there may be machinery noise, we hope this did not disrupt your stay too much. • "I left the last review in September for steading cottage and again like before it was all great Susan said then they planned on upgrading the kitchen which they did to a very high speck with new cupboards new floor new ceiling new oven and hob, new everything to be more accurate, the kitchen is really big at the top end you have the fitted kitchen with 4 chairs and table at the bottom end you have a leather sofa and chairs a wee nest of tables and a brand new television on the wall, it's so bright and cheery and comfortable we spent most of our time in there, on arrival we were greeted by Susan's lovely daughter Donna who now takes care of things, we were made to feel most welcome and if we needed anything else not to hesitate and call her, but like before we had everything we needed Donna even left us a big fresh crusty bloomer loaf, homemade marmalade, biscuits, butter, milk, teabags sugar and oh forgot to mention a coffee machine with hot chocolate and coffees pods left also."

..we took along our 18yr old niece with us and she loved it the free WiFi helped there, and we brought our firestick with us which worked no problem. The bedrooms are very comfortable with hairdryers iron and ironing board available too, the beds and pillows are very comfy...this place is amazing and extremely clean I have already booked to go back in July for a week.this time, the prices are very generous if you were to book for a week its cheaper From Friday to Friday....The McLaren family are wonderful warm humble people me and my husband can't wait for July....oops forgot to mention the photo's on the website are of the old kitchen which btw was even very functional but they have made this place even more amazing....Thank you Donna
