Although the town hall has a weather vane in the shape of a golden camel, this attractive town has no associations whatsoever with camels! However, it is steeped in history and legend and makes a great base for touring north Cornwall.

Situated on the River Camel at the edge of Bodmin Moor, our Camelford cottages are perfect for lovers of the countryside, with miles of way-marked paths all around. Walk, cycle or ride along the Camel Trail to Padstow. Or head to the coast, just six miles away, and walk the South West Coastal Path, gateway to amazing seascapes and pretty fishing villages like Boscastle and Tintagel.
