Please find below a selection of self catering holiday cottages to rent near Fife, Scotland.

Discover the fascinating Kingdom of Fife, offering a myriad of attractions for all ages and tastes, along with a collection of lovely Fife cottages.

Fife is possibly best known for golf, in particular St Andrews or 'Home of Golf' where all seven links courses are open to visitors - play on the sacred turf of The Old Course, or polish your skills on The Himalayas, a superb 18-hole putting course. Scotland's oldest university dominates the town centre and there are also two fantastic beaches here, including West Sands of 'Chariots of Fire' fame.

Explore the picturesque fishing villages of East Neuk, with their cobbled streets and tiny harbours. Savour an award-winning fish supper in Anstruther, or fresh crab and lobster in Crail. Or have fun with the family on the sands of Elie's clean and safe, sandy beach.

Walkers, both seasoned and novice, will find the Fife Coastal Path irresistible, hugging the coastline from the Forth Bridge in the south to the Tay Bridge in the north. Look out for frolicking grey seals, not to mention basking sharks and dolphins in the summer. Or head inland to the rugged, rolling Lomond Hills in central Fife, stopping off at the village of Falkland, with its impressive royal palace; or the splendid mansion house, the Hill of Tarvit, just outside the town of Cupar.

Water sports, fishing, cycling, gardens, theatres, animal parks...there are all kinds of other things to see and do. So, whether it's an action-packed family holiday or a tranquil escape for two, a Fife cottage holiday will come up trumps.
