Discover the best attractions and activities that Devon has to offer

Being one of the top tourist destinations in the UK, Devon has an array of attractions to visit and things to do throughout the year.

The ideal spot for families, couples and solo travellers, there are plenty of activities in Devon to suit everyone. Top attractions include the famous Woolacombe Beach, an award-winning stretch of sand located in the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the bustling seaside resort of Woolacombe.

The beautiful holiday home of Agatha Christie, situated on the banks of the River Dart, just a short boat ride or drive from Dartmouth. It is the backdrop for three of Christie’s novels and is another draw to the area. Greenway House and Gardens are rich in history dating back to the 1490’s with links to Sir Walter Raleigh, the Spanish Armada and the Second World War.

The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth is the UK’s largest of its kind and is run by a conservation charity, aiming to increase our understanding of ocean life. The aquarium has a large selection of ocean species, including sharks and rays, and is another of the leading attractions in Devon.
