Travelling to Hawes by train

Virgin Rail provides trains from the south into Northallerton, via the East Coast Main Line. You will then need a coach or taxi into Hawes.

The trains run every day and depart hourly, the journey time is about three and a half hours.

You can use the Transpennine Express from the north into Northallerton and on to Hawes by coach or bus.

Travelling to Hawes by road

Travelling by road to Hawes will take you on some of the most beautiful roads in the country. If you’re going to be travelling to Hawes by car from the south-east, the most direct route is the A1M. Your journey will take around four and a half hours.

If you are travelling from the west country, then you take the M5, M54, M62. Journey time is about five and a half hours.

From the north-west, the most direct route is on the M6 then the A65, getting you to your chosen property in just under two hours depending on the traffic.

Travelling to Hawes by plane

Leeds Bradford airport is the closest major airport to Hawes although it is around 37 miles away, so you will need a taxi or hire car to get to your property.
