Bouddica Way

Boudicca Way

Boasting a rich history and the breath-taking sights and scenery of the South Norfolk countryside, is the famous Bouddica Way. This trail is one of the most popular in Norfolk and is favoured by many who prefer a long-distance trail.

The route was named after the legendary warrior Queen of the Iceni a tribe who formerly lived in East Anglia. Spanning 36 miles, the trail follows the former route of the army where they would march from Norwich to Diss.

Follow quiet country paths and public footpaths through the breath-taking countryside, where along the way you can stop to explore the fascinating Venta Icenorum, formerly known by the Romans as ‘the market of the Iceni’.

Continue along the trail which passes through the idyllic villages of Shotesham, Saxlingham Nethergate, and Pulham Market. All of which are home to charming pubs and cafes, offering the perfect refuelling stop during your hike.

Explore the very best of South Norfolk with a wander along the Bouddica Way…
