Get a taste of Cornwall’s mining heritage at Tolgus Mill where you’ll be taken through the process of tin streaming and shown how the tin ore running through the stream onsite is recovered to make jewellery.
You can then browse the largest collection of jewellery in Cornwall, with pieces made from Tolgus tin as well as gold, silver, platinum and Cornish pearl. Those wishing to take a hands-on approach can select their own pearl and learn what makes it unique as it’s graded. A gold or silver setting can then be selected, and the pearl set there and then.
Little ones can also create their own bear at the onsite Bear Works or have a go at pottery painting. After a long day’s crafting and making, The Cornish Pantry and its traditional Cornish menu awaits.
