Dolphin Tavern

Back in 1585, this granite walled building served as John Hawkins’ HQ as he recruited Cornishmen to fight in the Armada, and for centuries following it was used as a courtroom. Legend has it that the tavern is also home to three spirits.

The tavern now operates as an inn and restaurant, serving up locally caught fish and other pub classics including succulent steaks and roast dinners alongside drinks, including real ales, from the well-stocked bar.
