Lanhydrock House and Garden

Lanhydrock House and Garden

Lanhydrock was originally a Jacobean house but after a devastating fire in 1881, it was refurbished in Victorian style. Visitors to the house can explore life ‘below stairs’ with a visit to the kitchen before heading upstairs to the luxurious sitting and dining areas and the bedrooms.

You can experience the heyday of the Agar-Robartes family who once called Lanhydrock home and discovers how their fortunes changed during WWI.

Outside, there are extensive gardens to discover with herbaceous borders, formal parterre, camellias, magnolias and rhododendrons – amongst others.

Ancient woodland surrounds the estate and visitors can explore via foot or bike – you can bring your own bike or hire one from the estate.

A lovely day awaits at Lanhydrock House and Garden…
