Monkey Haven, Isle of Wight

Monkey Haven is a primate sanctuary and rescue centre that has been an important part of the Isle of Wight since 2010. The charity has rescued hundreds of animals in need over the years, from reptiles to meerkats!

Monkey Haven is open on a daily basis from 10am and welcomes visitors to tour the centre and view the charming animals in their enclosures.

As well as being able to venture through the haven, you can also partake in a choice of award-winning keeper feeds and talks. There are many of these available throughout the day, from the ‘Reptile Rendezvous’ to ‘Monkey Supper’.

After seeing the animals up close, why not stop for a treat at one of the on-site eateries? Xhabu’s Tea Room offers a mouthwatering selection of hot meals, sandwiches and beverages. If you’d prefer a smaller bite to eat, make your way to the Ice Cream Shack.

The kids are free to let off steam at Monkey Haven, top. There are two fantastic play areas available, including one suited to toddlers and the other suited to older children.

A puzzle book, trails and peekaboo boards are also dotted throughout the haven; they’ll rarely be bored here!

A day of fun awaits at Monkey Haven, Isle of Wight…
