Just show me Isle of Skye Cottages

Endless summer days. The dazzling 'Northern Lights'. Mind-boggling scenery. Ask anyone that's been here, the Isle of Skye is a magical place where Mother Nature has created her best, with the odd manmade achievement thrown in, of course, including some fabulous Isle of Skye cottages.

The north western coastline is a mix of plunging cliffs, pink coral beaches and black sandy bays. Whales, sharks, puffins...wildlife abounds and there's plenty of drama underwater too - superb if you're a diver.

In the north east, walk the spectacular Trotternish Peninsula and be intrigued by the sounds of traditional Gaelic.

Central Skye is a playground for the mountaineer, land of The Cuillin, a riot of jagged peaks, with sheer ridges and vertical faces. Larger settlements are also here, like Broadford and Portree, the island's capital.

Head south to a gentler landscape on the Sleat Peninsula. Call in at Ord Bay for the best view of The Cuillin at sunset and don't miss the village of Ardvasar.

Unearth historic treasures like Dunvegan Castle, discover more about Skye's heritage at the Museum of Island Life, or find the perfect keepsake at an arts and crafts' demonstration.

What else? Boat trips, sailing, fishing, cycling, golf, pony trekking, dinosaur and toy museums...everything imaginable.

Fancy a bite to eat? You're in for a treat, with shellfish, locally reared meat and game, organic vegetables and cheeses, not forgetting local ale, whisky and water. As locals say, 'Slainté'!

Let's help you find your dream Isle of Skye cottage, so you too can experience this truly magical place.
