The overall house experience was fantastic there was loads of space, many rooms which was great!

“The house was clean and tidy. The views where amazing and the overall look of the house was stunning!”

- Yasmin, October 2021

The check-in and out times were restrictive BUT I was able to seek flexibility once I contacted the team Not until I rang re the above was I informed that I had paid for 3 nights and not 2, therefore check out time was far more flexible.

“The dishwasher did not work - a HUGE problem as I was cooking meals for 9 and then had to wash by hand! This took up enjoyment time from our holiday.”

- Jo, September 2021

The property itself is lovely and beautiful location.

“Unfortunately the cleanliness was not as expected- dusty, oil fat in baking trays, dirty glasses and bowls, bathrooms were disgusting, dust and items left under furniture. Also both double beds were extremely uncomfortable especially the master, the mattress needs replacing 100%. The kitchen facilities- dishwasher didn't work, nothing organised in cupboards, all just everywhere and nowhere really to put a food shop, no masher and other broken utensils left in the filthy draw, baking trays falling apart, the house sleeps 13 yet fridge isn't big enough for that neither is the tiny broken bbq outside. We did enjoy our stay but property really does need a few improvements and cleaning to a higher standard”

Please see my email of July 6th to which we need an urgent reply from yourselves Simón Williams

- Daphne, July 2021

We were disappointed that there was no bbq as advertised and we did end up buying one.

“The owner responded quickly to any issues and was helpful.”

- marie, June 2021

Parking very difficult because of building work adjacent to the property.

“Not informed of this until day before we arrived. Fan in bathroom not working. Microwave was very dirty inside so had to clean it before we could use it. Cupboard under sink was filthy and obviously never cleaned out. All cutlery and plates had to be washed before we could use them. Kettle leaked when you poured from it. Filter was broken. Piles of old leaflets in lounge which should not have been there because out of date. This property should not be advertised as immaculate because it certainly wasn't and it was not Covid clean at all. The kitchen had far too much clutter on the work surfaces and items that were not necessary. These were all very grimy and dusty. The location was good though and we did enjoy our stay on the Isle of Wight. I would be very hesitant to book another property with you”

“Well kept property. Good location near the harbour and near to good local pubs. Lovely coastal walk alongside Victoria Park. Would recommend to others and a nice home away from home with all the modern amenities.”

- Sharon, August 2021

Cannot fault it.

“The house was beautiful and had everything you could need plus more. The secluded garden was great for our dogs and got plenty of sunshine. Would not hesitate to go back, we loved every minute of it..”

Lodge 19

Millbrook, Cornwall
6  Guests > 3  Bedrooms 2  Bathrooms

Wooden lodge on edge of resort with amazing countryside views towards Plymouth Sound. On-site heated swimming pool. Close to 3 miles of sandy beach. Family friendly.

What do our customers say?Toggle reviews

The holiday park it self has great views and is nice to walk around .

“However the swimming pool has been out of action for a few years the shop has been closed for a few years the club house is need of refurbishment the meals are very expensive ie we had cod and chips twice and scampi and chips the first night we were there and it come to £45 and that was to take away to eat in our lodge which is another matter .Lodge 19 is not suitable for the elderly or disabled as you can not drive you car to the lodge and you can not park at the lodge it is down a step uneven gravel road and you have to use a trolley to take your luggage down to the lodge which is a nightmare if you are the only able person to do this as i was. The Lodge its self is very tied indeed and in need of a make over the right hand patio door is very hard to shut and you have to really pull on it to close it hence we only used it the once .The left hand door is also broken the lock needs replacing .The carpets are threaded around the edges and has not been fitted right the oven if you have the grill on you have to be careful as the door opens down towards the floor and if you do not watch your self you will walk into it. The boiler is in need of a service as i had to charge it up twice within the week as it lost its pressure hence no heating or hot water. There is hardly any space to store things like food as the cupboards are over stocked with to many cups plates glasses etc .The owner has also got his tools his tins of paint and more in the cupboards The decking needs replacing .It is a shame as the view from the Lodge is fantastic ,We booked this lodge because it was offered at a special price and i fill even that was to high a price to pay .This is the 4th Loge our family has had with skye cottages and iv got to say it is the worst one ,Our first lodge with them was out standing but since them we have noticed the lodges we have booked have gone down hill which is a shame as we do like to book with them being it is so easy .If you use Lodge 19 do take your own towels as the towels provided are rough and worn may be a good idea to take your own linen to”

- David, October 2021

Lodge 19 is ready for a complete refurbishment to bring it up to date and definitely needs the doors onto the decking replacing.

- Denise, August 2021

Very clean, but the chalet is quite tired and old

Salem

Cross Inn near Llandysul, South Wales & Pembrokeshire

Large detached bungalow overlooking countryside in wonderful part of Wales. Five bedrooms, two with en-suites. Games room. Plenty of walking opportunities from the doorstep. Cardigan 13 miles.

What do our customers say?Toggle reviews

Lovely spacious property.

“Perfect for our two families. The photos on Sykes could do with updating as you now have pictures on the walls so makes the property so much homely and appealing! We had a fabulous break. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the pool room. The twin beds in both bedrooms desperately need new mattresses tho unless being slept in by really young children. It does say in the description in the information booklet that we could use the garage. We brought bikes with us so this would’ve been great but apparently you can’t use the garage. But apart from that we would definitely return.”

- Vicky, October 2021

The en-suite toilet was broken and obviously had been for some time.

“The downstairs bathroom toilet was blocked and there is no way to contact anyone to have the situation remedied.. in the ensuite bathroom, despite there being a blank wall behind the washbasin, the mirror was on the sidewall and there were insufficient towel rails.. Otherwise everything was fine.”

- Roger, September 2020

Beds could be upgraded for comfort otherwise everything was excellent.

“Had issue with blocked toilet but was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Location and facilities met all our needs . 2nd Visit for us . Will book again. Thank you.”

We recently stayed at this Lovely 2 bed cottage in Matlock within close walking distance to town centre and markets.

“The cottage itself is lovely and quaint with many of the old features of the sweet shop it once was. Very clean and well presented, the host also took great care to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended”

- Jave, October 2021

Lovely cottage with all amenities.

“Everything in walking distance. Nice walks near by. Josh is very helpful. This place has everything you will need. Lovely place. Thanks josh”

- Nicky, September 2021

The house was as described.

“Matlock is a brilliant place with some great walking right from the doorstep. There is a really lovely pub just round the corner. Only negatives are that it's right on the main road and the staircases are steep and narrow, however this is obvious from the description.”
