Overlooking Mounts Bay, a breathtaking sweep of coast and countryside, our Madron holiday cottages await! A village shop and pub cater for visitors and locals alike, while the resort of Penzance with its prom, restaurants, galleries and other attractions is just a short drive away.

This charming Cornish village is home to the district's mother church, featuring various architectural styles including stone Tudor roses. Other delights to look out for include Madron Carn, a rocky outcrop bordering the village, and Madron Holy Well, renowned for its restorative powers.

All around our Madron holiday homes is beautiful scenery dotted with ancient relics. On the moors to the north are Lanyon Quoit, Chûn Quoit, Chûn Castle, Men-Scryfa, Boswens Standing Stone and Men-an-Tol. Madron is also home to the Ding Dong Mine, Cornwall's oldest tin mine.

On the edge of the village are the stunning gardens of Trengwainton (National Trust). Bring your four-legged friend and explore wooded paths, lined with exotic shrubs and magnificent magnolias. Climb up to the terrace for fabulous views of Mounts Bay - on a clear day you can see right across to the Lizard Peninsula. Then head to the tearoom for homemade scones laden with jam and cream. A little further afield is St. Michael's Mount, a fairytale island crowned with a castle just offshore from Marazion.

Other daytrip ideas include the coastal village of Mousehole, Newlyn and its famous fish market and, to the north, the truly beautiful and cosmopolitan resort of St. Ives.
