  • "Lovely large property ideal for 2 families on holiday."

Well located, for those prepared to drive to the many hidden beaches, inlets and historic sites of Anglesey. Nice pub nearby. Great hottub, couldnt get the kids out. Lack of tumble dryer more than compensated for by v warm conservatory, perfect for drying clothes. V well equipped kitchen. 3 fridges! Clean. Spacious. Lovely.

  • "We had a wonderful week at Glyn Ewryd."

It accommodated our extended family perfectly and we were sad to leave as we had only just got to know all that Anglesey offers. The hot tub was a great favourite as was the lovely large secluded garden, great for the little ones, where they could bounce off excess energy on the trampoline. The two year old loved seeing the farmer herding sheep outside our door and bullocks along the Lane. The Bell Inn was really handy and so near for those old enough, to sneak off for a quiet one. We also had a great family meal there. The leisure centre was also very handy for a morning swim. Our host Mari was very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Her complimentary cake was amazing. I cant’t recommend it highly enough.

Pub stones throw away, no noise to be heard, we had amazing food there and staff really friendly. Host had thought of everything for a self catering cottage including plastic cup/glasses and plates to use outside. Opportunities- bigger living room could do with a lamp or 2 instead of just the main lights and hooks would be good on bedroom/bathroom doors.

Fabulous house and accommodating to all our needs. Beds very comfy, kitchen was amazing, the 2 lounges are also comfortable. My only criticism is that the lounges didn’t have any lamps, other than a very small one in the bigger lounge, so we used some from the bedrooms, not really a problem but lamps are needed I think. Hot tub was fab, the owner came mid week to check it to make sure it was tip top. A lovely cake, chocolates and a gift of olives was left by the owner which was a great surprise. I can see the owner takes a lot of pride with this accommodation and it was definitely one of the better cottages I’ve stayed in. So fabulous all round. Thank you again Mari for a fabulous stay.

The owners are amazing, we were welcomed with a home baked cake & cream and Mari couldn’t do enough for us if we had a question.

  • "We recently had a wonderful stay at Glyn Ewryd!"

Mari’s communication was excellent before, during and after our stay. We followed her advice to get Asda to deliver direct to the house (something which we never would have thought of had she not mentioned it) and we she was great at helping us to find somewhere local for Sunday lunch during our stay. The house itself was beautiful and well appointed. We travel quite regularly using private hire such as Airbnb and Sykes Cottages and we find most places lacking in some of the things we use at home… so we usually bring quite a lot of things with us. However, for this trip we needn’t have bothered as Glyn Ewryd had absolutely everything we needed! From pop up laundry hampers in all the bedrooms, to clothes airers perfect for drying towels and swimwear, to simple things such as a butter dish (we don’t eat marg!) and a decent set of cookware… although we brought all of these things with us it was lovely see that the house was well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We won’t be bringing it all next time we stay! As I said the house was beautiful with plenty of space for our family, the log burner was lovely to light in the evening (again, we brought our own logs, but Mari had provided a full basket for us… we left them for the next guests!) and the heating system provided additional warmth when we needed it. The bedrooms were roomy with solid furniture and comfy beds, we couldn’t ask for better, but the kitchen was by far my favourite room in the house, with the huge table being perfect for family meals and board games and the range cooker being fantastic to use also. We spent most of our time between the front lounge and the kitchen. The hot tub to the rear of the house, and the trampoline at the front, were utilised by our teens throughout the trip and they thought they were wonderful additions to our stay. As stated in the booking terms and conditions the hot tub had been cleaned and refilled meaning it wasn’t ready to use on our day of arrival… but we already knew this would be the case so had planned not to be using it that evening anyway. Mari also visited half way through our trip to perform checks on the hot tub which I thought was an excellent touch. We ate at The Ring Pub (which is virtually at the end of the driveway) for Sunday lunch and I highly, highly recommend anybody staying at Glyn Ewryd to do the same. The food was absolutely lovely. We also visited to the nearby self service milkshake hut by the Gadlys Hotel and found the milkshakes to be even nicer than our local one, so that was a nice surprise! Also, as we had communicated with Mari that we would be doing this she very kindly loaned us 4 glass bottles to save us bringing our own from home, which again was a lovely touch. Overall I couldn’t fault the property or Mari as a host. We were made to feel SO welcome… with cake and pantry staples being left for us to use. The house was cosy and, as I said, had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We visited in November 2021 and are already planning to return next year, perhaps when the weather is a bit warmer and we can take more advantage of the outside space for dining and socialising. If you’re thinking of booking Glyn Ewryd I highly recommend that you do.

  • "Our stay here was fantastic."

The property itself is extremely spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our every need was catered for and that includes the children’s amenities. They loved the sunken trampoline and paddock space. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. The kitchen in particularly was more than well equipped with all utensils, pans, crockery and appliances. We only have one concern and that was that the tiling on the kitchen floor could do with re-grouting as some of the tiles are loose and in one area have cracked leaving sharp shards. Even that slight complaint didn’t mar our stay and we would recommend this property to everyone 9.99/10
