  • "Despite the weather, we had a wonderful week at Waterside Cottage."

The view from inside the house and from the patio was superb. The proximity of "The Heron Inn" was a bonus, the food and the ambience being excellent. The house was comfortable and well equipped and the "welcome pack" was appreciated. We would definitely return.

  • "The property was excellent inside but we felt it was not entirely pet friendly outside."

It would be a good idea to install a gate and fencing on the decking just like the neighbouring property this would ensure any guests pets were secure. Everything else was exceptional.. we would definitely return.

  • "**Review of Waterside Cottage, Malpas, Cornwall** Our stay at Waterside Cottage in Malpas was overall a delightful experience."

The cottage itself is beautifully set up, offering a cozy and well-thought-out space that perfectly complements its idyllic location. The terrace is a standout feature, providing a perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning views of the surrounding area. The layout of the cottage is well-designed for its size. We appreciated the small spare room, which served as a peaceful retreat for reading and unwinding. The presence of a separate changing area/closet off the bathroom was also a thoughtful touch, adding to the convenience and comfort of the space. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals, and the wood burner adds a warm and inviting ambiance, especially in the evenings. The cottage also offers a good internet connection and a small smart TV, which were appreciated for staying connected and enjoying a bit of entertainment. The new bathroom, complete with underfloor heating, was a lovely modern addition to the cottage, enhancing our comfort during the stay. Additionally, key collection and access to the property were straightforward and hassle-free. However, there were a few aspects that could be improved. Parking in the village was a challenge at times, and on one occasion, we had to drop off our luggage and park outside the village. While this was manageable, it's something future guests should be aware of. We also felt that the cottage could benefit from a more thorough cleaning regimen before guest arrivals. Certain areas were a bit dusty, and there were quite a few spiders and cobwebs throughout the property. Addressing these issues would elevate the experience to match the otherwise high standard of the cottage. Despite these minor drawbacks, it's clear that the owners have taken great care in creating a beautiful and welcoming space for visitors. We had a lovely stay and would recommend Waterside Cottage for anyone looking to enjoy the charm and tranquility of Malpas, Cornwall.

We loved our stay here and will certainly return. The views from the cottage are idyllic, whatever the weather (and we had quite a variety of it). Parking was easier than we anticipated. A happy, friendly place to stay for a holiday.
