• "We had a very nice time at the Lighthouse."

  The view is amazing and we felt at home right away. It is quiet, but still very close to the beach and the town. The kitchen is wonderful, however, some things are missing: more cutlery, sharp knives, another pan, small glasses (for children - but also different ones for adults). The seating options could be more comfortable, especially the sofa and the chairs around the dinner table.

• "Lovely well maintained property with excellent sea views."

  Lovely and warm on arrival (Feb 2023) The only thing that we would of liked is a TV in one of the bedrooms to enable my grandson to watch kid’s programs and nice to watch the News when having a cup of tea in bed! Other than that amazing property, very modern and well thought out. Would definitely return.

• "We absolutely loved our stay at The Lighthouse."

  The accommodation was comfortable, roomy & immaculate with tasteful decor throughout. Every home comfort. Parking was a definite bonus. We could have stayed longer & will definitely return.

• "This is our second stay at the Lighthouse and our third stay in the apartments."

  We love the views of the sea and the harbour, the peace and quiet of the area. The car parking facility is good and well monitored to make sure that only authorised persons use it. The owners have thought out the needs of the renters very throughly and everything you need is there, from a cooking perspective, TV and video entertainment, WiFi, and equipment for the veranda. The walk from the town centre to the apartment takes less than 10 minutes. We just loved the whole experience and of course St Ives is a delightful place to be.

• "This apartment is just gorgeous."

  Everything we needed was provided even if we decided to stay in one night and cook. We have been coming to St ives for over 20 years and we have to say this is the most well equipped place we have ever stayed.On arrival it was spotlessly clean,light and airy. Tea,coffee, milk, biscuits and little chocolate buttons which our girls loved were waiting for us which was great after a long journey from Yorkshire. Beautiful views from the living room and balcony which we were able to enjoy as even though it was the end of October we had mostly lovely weather. We would definitely like to return to this luscious apartment in future. Thankyou for a lovely holiday.

• "Property very clean well looked after, comfortable, well equipped, plenty of storage space."

  Modern yet not cold feeling. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only small suggestion would be to put black out roller blinds on bedroom windows. Just for info, the last bit walking back up to the apartment is very steep. Best apartment we have ever stayed in.

• "We enjoyed 2 sunny weeks in St Ives at The Lighthouse."

  The property itself is great, with wonderful views over St Ives Bay. Everything St Ives has to offer is within easy walking distance from the property. We enjoyed Porthminster, Porthgwidden and Porthmeor beaches, and ambling through the quaint streets in the town and sampling the local delicacies. Be warned, it is very steep walking back up to the property, especially when carrying beach items, bodyboards, etc, but that does help you burn off a few 'pasty calories'! The only real downside of the property itself (as mentioned by previous guests too) is the quality of the king size bed in the master bedroom. This is by far the worst bed and mattress we have ever seen in a holiday property, and we've been staying in St Ives with Carbis Bay holidays for over 15 years. The bed squeaks horrendously with the slightest movement and the mattress itself has seen better days. We were concerned about this aspect of the property from other reviews before visiting and contacted Carbis Bay holidays a number of times, who reassured us that the owner considered the bed/mattress were 'good'. That is definitely not the case! It's a real shame, as this did spoil the enjoyment of what otherwise is a great little apartment. Come on owner and Carbis Bay Holidays, please take notice of the feedback from paying guests!

• "I would like to say thank you for such a lovely holiday at your apartment (The Lighthouse)."

  It was beautiful and a perfect place for our family to stay in with everything we could possibly need available both in the apartment and on our doorstep in St Ives. Arriving to all the extra thoughtful touches was so helpful (tea, biscuits, apple juice etc), as well as the cleaning items being immediately available. We had a couple of minor issues which were dealt with very quickly and efficiently with great communication from the owners, Carbis Bay and their maintenance teams. This was our first break since the pandemic and we all had a great time (teenagers as well!) - the apartment was perfect in every way and we tried to leave it as clean and tidy as we found it, ready for the next arrivals to have as good a time as we did! Thank you to the owners and to Carbis Bay - we appreciate the efforts you all make to provide such a lovely apartment and base for our holiday Thank you very much Karen

• "The apartment was as shown online and was absolutely lovely."

  A great location with good views only a few minutes walk from the town centre and the uphill walk did us good I'm sure! The only slight criticism was the bed in the main bedroom was rather squeaky/creaky and the quality of the bedlinen wasn't the best, we also found the duvet rather hot. Towels were great though and we appreciated that toiletries were provided. Also appreciated the milk and biscuits that were left for us as we hadn't had a chance to shop before we arrived! Parking was good, it was one reason for choosing this location although we only used the car on one day while we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

• "This was our first visit to St Ives and wow what a truly beautiful place."

  It really didn’t disappoint and completely outweighed all our expectations. The property is perfect, very comfortable, beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need and an amazing view from the balcony. We enjoyed the walk down into town each day, the scenery and views are quite breathtaking and we have beautiful photos to remember how wonderful a place St Ives is. We spent a lot of time on the beach at Porthminster where our 7 year old daughter had the time of her life, playing in the golden sand and the beautiful clear water. St Ives itself is quite a hilly place and although this apartment is a really good location, the listing could do with stating just how much of an incline you face when walking back up from the town centre! This was not a problem for us but if you had an elderly guest or a child in a pushchair it may prove a bit difficult. All in all a fabulous stay and we would definitely come back.

• "This was my third visit to these flats (not the same one each time), this review being for No 3 The Lighthouse."

  Very clean and well-equipped especially the kitchen utensils in case one decides to self-cater. Excellent as holiday accommodation goes, a short walk only from the centre shops. Two things prevent me giving 5 stars - the permanently-running ventilation fan being situated in a cupboard within the master bedroom was a bit noisy; and the worst aspect, the parking permit system managed by Armtrac which seems designed to catch you out. A large paper permit must be displayed in the car at all times and it is way too easy to forget to put it back after a trip out - be warned. There should be a way of cancelling the charge if you can prove you were there legitimately.

I am sorry to hear you were disturbed by the fan, I am pleased to advise the system has been serviced and any issues with the fan resolved. With regards to the parking, unfortunately due to non-residents using the private spaces at the development the Management Company at Belyars Croft have employed a company to monitor the car park to ensure it is not abused and that spaces are available for all guests at all times.   Everything was clean and comfortable. The location is also perfect. We especially loved the view off the balcony and the living room, lovely to see the sunrise in the mornings when the weather was clear.
